The carcass may be formed of a first thermoplastic material, the cover may be formed of a second thermoplastic material, and the first thermoplastic material may be harder than the second thermoplastic material. The first thermoplastic material may have a modulus at 100% elongation of between 10 and 16 MPa, and may have a hardness of between 93 and 96 Shore A.

The middle section comprises a self-supporting support structure, wherein the support structure is formed by roller rails, by cross beams and by support brackets, whereby the roller rails have an upper rail surface for rollers of the pallets, the cross beams connect the roller rails and/or the support brackets on both sides of the moving walk and the support brackets comprise the footing of the support structure and are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the roller rails and wherein the roller rails and/or the cross beams are mounted to the support brackets. This space saving support structure is easy to deliver to the building site and easy to install.

A method and apparatus for extrusion of an article is provided. A die assembly can apply flows of thermoplastic material to an array of reinforcing cables to form a composite extrusion. A slider fabric can be bonded to one side of the composite extrusion. After exiting the die assembly, the slider fabric can act to support the extrudate as it passes along an elongate mandrel, which can cause the base of the slider fabric to change shape from a flat profile to the final internal profile of the article. The extruded article can then be cooled to solidify the material. The die can include cooling for the slider fabric and means for promoting penetration of the thermoplastic into reinforcing cables.
