An intersection point of a carcass outer surface with a parallel line extending parallel with a rotation axis and passing through a tire maximum width position is denoted as P1. An intersection point of the parallel line LP with a side surface is denoted as P2. An intersection point of the parallel line with a protrusion portion outer surface of a protrusion portion is denoted as P3. A distance between the tire center and the intersection point P1 is denoted as W1. A distance between the tire center and the intersection point P3 is denoted as W3. A distance between the intersection point P1 and the intersection point P2 is denoted as G1. A distance between the intersection point P2 and the intersection point P3 is denoted as G2. 0.80≤W1/W3≤0.95 and 0.1≤G1/G2≤1.

    Abstract: A tire having a rubber assembly including a first rubber member, a second rubber member, and a third rubber member which are arranged in series in the cross-section including the tire rotational axis. The method includes: extruding the unvulcanized rubber assembly as two separate parts which are a first extrusion rubber portion and a second extrusion rubber portion divided at a division surface passing through the unvulcanized first rubber member; winding the first extrusion rubber portion into a base annular body; and forming the unvulcanized rubber assembly by winding the second extrusion rubber portion so that only the first rubber member included in the second extrusion rubber portion overlaps with the first rubber member included in the base annular body.

    Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a non-stretchable tread (30) flanked by two shoulder regions (34), and two non-stretchable bead regions (36) for mounting the tire to a wheel, each bead region being connected via a sidewall to the corresponding bead region. Each sidewall has a first portion (38) extending inwardly relative to a width of the tire from one of the bead regions (36) to a deflection region (40), and a second portion (42) extending outwardly relative to the width of the tire from the deflection region (40) to a corresponding one of the shoulder regions (34). A non-stretchable girth-limiting configuration (44, 46, 56) and a radial reinforcing structure (48, 50, 52) are associated with the first portion (38) of each of the sidewalls, thereby limiting radial flexing of first portion (38) and maintaining an annular concavity between the bead region (36) and the shoulder region (34).

    Abstract: A heavy-duty pneumatic tire includes a section width being equal to or less than 335 mm, an aspect ratio being equal to or less than 55%, and a toroidal carcass extending between axially spaced bead portions through a tread portion and sidewall portions. The carcass includes a carcass ply which includes a main portion and a turn-up portion turned up around a bead core of each bead portion. A belt layer is disposed radially outward of the carcass in the tread portion, wherein a radially outer end of the turn-up portion is located between the main portion and the belt layer in the tread portion.
