Abstract:
A communication device is provided in a wireless multi-hop network. The communication device receives a sequence number, a divided time acquired by dividing a time width allocated for transmitting detected usage data by a division number, and the division number. The communication device calculates a remainder by dividing the received sequence number by the division number and calculates a transmission offset time based on the remainder and the divided time. The communication device transmits the usage data based on the calculated transmission offset time.
Abstract:
This specification relates to a remote meter reading system using a plurality of master devices and a remote meter reading method thereof, and more particularly, a remote meter reading system using a plurality of master devices, capable of allowing for communication with another electricity meter modem which can replace one electricity meter modem when there is a trouble in communication between the one electricity meter modem and the master devices, allowing for fast and flexible reaction with respect to changes in communication network between the electricity meter modem and the master devices, and constructing a network path for communication with an optimal communication performance, all by way of enabling network connection and information sharing among master devices through communication between electricity meter modems and the plurality of master devices, and a remote meter reading method thereof.
Abstract:
Examples of selective state change of a remote metering device are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a connection between a mobile communication system and a remote metering device is established. A command to selectively change a delivery state of a valve of the remote metering device is then sent by the mobile communication system.
Abstract:
A power usage estimation device includes an acquisition unit, a first storage unit, an analysis unit, an estimation unit, and a second storage unit. The first storage unit stores pieces of power information each including a corresponding one of power values acquired by the acquisition unit and a day and a time which are associated with the corresponding one of the power values. The analysis unit classifies one or more pieces of power information satisfying a predetermined condition, of the pieces of power information stored in the first storage unit per day, into one of groups which corresponds to the predetermined condition. The estimation unit estimates power usage of a branch circuit by comparing the one or more pieces of power information of the groups stored in the second storage unit between a plurality of days having identical attributes.
Abstract:
A head-mounted user device is provided for use in a smart grid network. The head-mounted user device includes a signal processor configured to receive signaling containing information about one or more assets in a distributed power grid network from a data collection device configured to receive data from the assets in the distributed power grid network; and determine, based at least partly on the signaling received from the data collection device, signaling containing asset display information about the one or more assets. The head-mounted user device also includes an augmented or mixed reality display configured to display an actual field of view of the user and the asset display information by overlaying the asset display information over the actual field of view.
Abstract:
A communication control system includes a plurality of nodes 31, and a master device 30 for performing flow control of multihop communication in a network including the plurality of nodes 31. The master device 30 allocates, to each of the nodes, a time obtained by subtracting, from a frame period, a total one frame transmission time of each node, used for first service, as a one frame transmission time used for second service having a priority set lower than that of the first service.
Abstract:
This invention teaches a system for measuring utility data consumption using a smartphone or similar digital device in a crowd-sourced process.
Abstract:
Accessing an energy management policy for a plurality of devices is described, wherein the devices are coupled with a first structure. The energy usage of the devices is monitored. An energy usage rule and energy usage is then compared. The energy management policy and energy usage is also compared. Based on the comparing, an instruction is generated to modify an energy usage profile of said device to correlate with the energy usage rule associated with the devices and the energy management policy, thereby enabling efficient energy management.

Abstract:
In an approach for adaptive sampling of smart meter data, a computer retrieves one or more balancing constraints associated with one or more smart meter sensors. The computer retrieves meter sensor data from the one or more smart meter sensors according to the one or more balancing constraints. The computer determines a subsample of the meter sensor data, and then transmits the subsample of the meter sensor data to an optimization engine for use in solving an optimization problem.
