摘要： An arrangement for effecting a variable modification of information used to control a printer unit of a teleprinter has a first store containing information for basic functions required to control the printer unit. A first decoding circuit analyzes received teleprinter characters and drives the first store. A second store contains information required to modify the basic functions. A second decoding circuit analyzes the count reached by a counter and drives the second store. A setting up matrix is sampled by the counter and feeds its output via a multiplexing circuit to a comparator device. The comparator device compares the result of a sampling of the setting up matrix and a read out from the second store with the received teleprinter character, and, if the result is positive, the comparator device causes information contained in the second store to be combined with information from the first store to create a modified information feed to the printer unit.

摘要： An arrangement for scanning a disc-shaped type carrier in a code controlled printing device has a stepping motor which is controllable in the forward and backward directions for setting the type carrier. The count of a ring counter contained in the stepping motor control, and which is set in accordance with the setting of the stepping motor, is compared, as a binary combination, in a comparator device with a binary combination assigned to a specific character, and in the event of parity of the two binary combinations, an output pulse is emitted. A scanning sector is arranged on the type carrier and extends over a plurality of characters including the specific character, preferably centrally located along the scanning sector. A scanning device produces a scanning pulse in response to rotation of the sector to or past the scanning device and the scanning pulse is conjunctively linked with the output pulse of the comparator for utilization in system synchronization.

摘要： A teleprinter having a type cylinder wherein the instantaneous position of the type cylinder is known through a comparing system which utilizes a binary counter. A synchronizing mark is provided on a timing disc carried for mutual rotation with the type cylinder and is associated with a frequently occurring predetermined character, e.g., a character E, which allows adjustment of the binary counter independently of other adjustments to the code mark associated with the predetermined character by means of a synchronizing pulse as soon as this mark is sensed by an associated sensing element as a printing position or during passage thereof.

摘要： A receiving device for a start-stop teleprinter comprises a shifting register adapted to serially receive a code combination and to transfer in parallel the received combination to a temporary storing register for simultaneously controlling a set of code electromagnets. A start electromagnet adapted to cause a printing mechanism to be cyclically operated is controlled by a bistable control circuit, which is set by a character ready signal generated upon receiving the code combination. The circuit then clears the storing register and is reset by a signal generated upon sensing at least one element movable with said mechanism.

摘要： A teleprinter responsive to binary code combinations includes a continuously rotating font wheel with 51 peripherally equispaced typefaces and, synchronized with it, a reference wheel with 51 peripherally spaced alphanumerical markings respectively assigned to these typefaces and with 9 nonalphanumerical markings interspersed with the former. A sensor generates counting pulses in response to successive markings and steps a binary counter whose setting is fed to a comparator also receiving code combinations or ''''words'''' stored in a register in response to incoming message signals. Upon detecting a match, the comparator trips a striker successively confronted by the typefaces of the font wheel, operation of this striker being inhibited during periods in which counting pulses are generated by nonalphanumerical markings.
