A generally cylindrical core (101) of the endpiece (100) has a curved surface (103), and a flat surface (105). A decorative skin (111) attached to the curved surface (103) has a cross-sectional arc that is greater than one hundred and eighty degrees. When an endpiece (100) is installed on a plank (200), a spline (117) that attaches along a lateral edge (109) of the endpiece interlocks with a bottom spline (215) of a plank (200). Also, a first offset (113) of the decorative skin (111) engages an upper lateral edge (207) of the plank (200). An end cap (301) attaches to a surface formed by an endpiece surface (305) and a plank surface (307).

摘要： A corner unit for a siding system is disclosed. In one embodiment, the unit has a plurality of pairs of integral receivers for receiving and covering the ends of adjacent first and second siding strips terminating adjacent to the corner of a dwelling or other stable support structure. The unit also includes a plurality of pairs of outwardly projecting portions that simulate the appearance of overlapping structural members at the corners. Each adjacent receiver and outwardly projecting portion in a different horizontal plane may also have an integral connector portion that simulates the appearance of grout or chinking. When used with siding strips having a similar portion simulating grout or chinking, the realism of the overall simulation at the corner of the dwelling and along the adjacent walls is enhanced. The unit may also be formed of a single piece of material, such as injection molded plastic, to facilitate installation.

摘要： A log facade. A siding facade member is attached to a wall of the structure and extends to a corner thereof. A side of the siding member is formed as a portion of a semi-cylinder, giving the illusion that the siding member is part of a whole log. A corner member is attached to the corner of the structure and includes a round side surface that simulates the cross-section of a whole log. The siding facade member has an end that is received by the corner member, so as to cover an edge thereof, giving the illusion that the siding facade member is interlocked with the corner member without requiring that the edge be specially shaped to fit the round side surface.
