摘要： Simulated log siding is formed of an engineered cementitious composite. Single or dual flanges on each log piece is used to apply siding units to a surface. Some siding members are molded into a three dimensional configuration to appear as a structural wood log. Individual end pieces and molded tail clusters when used with the siding provide the appearance of the characteristic stacked or staggered corners of a log structure.

The column (100) includes a partial cylinder core (101) having a channel (103) that complements the shape of the wall to which the column attaches. Lateral supports (117, 119) are attached to respective grooves (113, 115) along respective lateral edges (109, 111) that are formed at the intersection of the flat surfaces (105, 107) of the channel (103) and a curved surface (123). A decorative skin (121) attaches to the curved surface (123). In a siding system that simulates wood log construction, planks (200) are attached to wall adjacent to a column (100).

摘要： Log siding for an existing structure to give the appearance of traditional full log construction. The corner pieces are preformed in two cooperating shapes to fit snugly together at the corners of the structure. One type of corner piece has three perpendicular planes at its inner end, to abut against the corner of the structure. The second corner piece has concave arcs at its inner end, to fit snugly against the rounded surfaces of the first corner pieces. The siding pieces are square cut at one end of each wall to fit against the end of the first type of corner piece and are cut in concave arcs at the opposite end of each wall to fit snugly against the rounded shapes of the logs at the corner. The siding can be speedily erected at the site with a minimum of field cutting.

摘要： A system of and manner for applying half log siding to a pre-constructed wall with the use of a separate piece of interlocking material. Having a specific shape, this interlocking piece allows for easy assembly and will securely hold the bottoms and tops of the positioned half logs to the wall. This assembly is repeated up the wall until the desired amount of wall is covered with the siding. This separate interlocking piece is capable of being fastened to a wall constructed of any building material while remaining hidden within the completed assembly. The final appearance of the siding gives the illusion of full logs, the drawbacks related with their construction and settling is not experienced.

摘要： A false tenon structure for use in "split log" structures of various cross-sectional configurations, the tenon being of the appropriate cross-section and having at an end a cradle shaped to accept an adjacent tenon in an end portion thereof and transversely therethrough, and planar interfacing surfaces at the end thereof with one of the interfacing surfaces defining a projection such that left hand and right hand, i.e., mirror image alternatives, of the tenon may be stacked with one tenon in the cradle of the adjacent tenon and, secured to a building corner by fasteners driven through the projection, and abutted against split log facades to present a realistic appearance of conventional full log mortise and tenon structures, or of stacked members of other cross-sections.
