Abstract:
Compositions comprising glycerol hydroxyalkyl and/or hydroxyalkenyl ethers, which correspond to the general formula: in which R1, R2 and R3, independently, represent a hydrogen atom or a saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched hydroxyalkyl or hydroxyalkenyl group, or mixtures thereof, each group containing 10 to 22 carbon atoms, and the use of these, particularly, glycerol hydroxyalkyl mono- and di-ethers in detergents and as rinse agents for automatic dish detergents, particularly for multifunctional dish detergents.
Abstract:
A machine cleaner tablet comprising from about 10 to about 75% of a limescale remover acid, from about 1 to about 20% of low foaming non-ionic surfactant, from about 0.5 to about 5% of a detergency enzyme and wherein the tablet has a pH measured as a 1% solution in distilled water at 20° C. in the range from about 1 to about 5. The tablet is used for cleaning the interior of automatic dishwashers, food processing machines and the like.
Abstract:
Pressed shaped bodies comprising coated sodium percarbonate particles having an inner shell layer which comprises one or more water-soluble, hydrate-forming salts and an outer layer on top of this which comprises an alkali metal silicate have an improved storage stability with a lower loss of active oxygen. The shaped bodies preferably additionally comprise at least one surfactant and optionally further wash-active substances. The shaped bodies can be produced by tabletting or briquetting from a pulverulent mixture. The shaped bodies can be used in detergents or cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cleaning composition for use in an automatic laundry or dishwashing machine, the cleaning composition comprising at least two functional parts and at least one release controlling means comprising an amino-acetylated polysaccharide having a selected degree of acetylation. The cleaning composition of the present invention not only allows an excellent sequential release of its different constituents, but also provides various beneficial properties, such as healthcare benefits and fabric care benefits.
Abstract:
A composition is provided for use in a dishwashing machine and in the form of a tablet. The composition is characterized by having at least two small parts, which are placed in or on the tablet, and in which at least one functional substance is concentrated in each case thus enabling the respective small part to be released by dissolution at a determined point in time during the dishwashing cycle. The small parts are produced by using at least two different methods.
Abstract:
A composition for use in a dishwasher is characterized by a base composition in the form of a tablet which becomes active substantially during the main wash cycle of the dishwasher. At least one separate zone in or on said tablet is provided with a substance that becomes active substantially during the rinse cycle of the dishwasher and with at least one substance that prevents lime scale build-up in the dishwasher and/or on the washed articles. The composition further includes agents that guarantee that at least the substance that becomes active substantially during the rinse cycle of the dishwasher is at least mainly released at the beginning of the rinse cycle at the earliest.
