A recording device includes a conveyance mechanism, a recording mechanism, a rotational mechanism of a plurality of take-up spindles, and a control unit. The conveyance mechanism is configured to convey a recording medium intermittently in a conveyance direction. The recording mechanism is configured to record by reciprocatingly scanning a recording head in a direction that intersects with the conveyance direction. The rotational mechanism is configured to take up the recording medium. The control unit is configured to control the conveyance mechanism and the rotational mechanism to substantially synchronize conveying of the recording medium by the conveyance mechanism and taking-up of the recording medium by the rotational mechanism.

To provide an automatic film winding apparatus, a slit winding system and a method for producing a rolled film which can improve winding quality, is reduced in size and enables winding mechanisms to be arranged in multiple stages.The automatic film winding apparatus includes winding shafts 21 and 22 for winding a film around a winding core 12, a turret 20 for pivotably supporting the winding shafts 21 and 22 in a rotatable manner, a touch roller 23 which presses the film to the winding shaft 22 when a predetermined amount of the film is wound by the winding shaft 21, and the turret 20 is rotated by a predetermined angle to allow the film to be hung on the winding shaft 22, a cutter 241 which cuts the film between the winding shaft 21 and the winding shaft 22, and a film affixing roller 25 which presses the film which has been cut to the winding shaft 22, and moves to the front end of the film while winding the film around the winding core 12 with the film being pressed.

A web winder of a turret winding type is provided with a first spindle secured to a first drive shaft. A second spindle is secured to a second drive shaft. Positions of the first and second drive shafts are changeable in the web winder. A changeover device changes over winding of a web wound about the first spindle to winding about the second spindle. A cutting drum is disposed on a first side with respect to a web path of the web, and has a cutter for cutting the web in a width direction thereof. A receiving drum is disposed on a second side with respect to the web path opposite to the first side. A drum support arm supports the cutting and receiving drums in a rotatable manner and in a manner of contacting drum peripheral surfaces of the cutting and receiving drums on each other.

According to one exemplary embodiment, a turret-type winder is provided and includes a rotatable turret assembly having a first core and a second core supported thereby. The turret is rotatable so that the first core can be positioned at a first location while the second core is positioned at a different second location, and the web material can be wound onto either of the first and second core at either of the first and second locations. The winder includes a pack roll assembly associated with each of the first and second cores, with the pack roll assembly including one pack roll that is pivotably movable into contact with a winding roll. The present winder is configured such that each of the first and second cores is unloaded at the first location after the winding is completed thereon and a new core is loaded at the same first location, while the other of the first and second cores is continuously winding at the second location.

The apparatus includes a turret assembly having a first winding cylinder, a first vacuum source providing vacuum to the first winding cylinder, and a web breaking assembly moveable between a first web breaking assembly position and a second web breaking assembly position. The web breaking assembly includes a blade, which is moveable between a first blade position and a second blade position.
