Abstract:
A communication system enables even an operator other than experts to correctly perform operations for a communication device such as an operation for modifying the configuration of the communication device without fail through simple operations without taking a long time for the operations, and permits the operator to keep track of the status of the operation in a remote management server. The communication device acquires an operational scenario from a management server, assigns the execution of the operational scenario to an operation input unit, and executes the operational scenario in response to an instruction which is issued from the operator by depressing an associated button on the input unit. The communication device displays the result of the execution on a display unit, and notifies the management server of the result.
Abstract:
A dynamotor capable of operating as either a motor or a generator is used with both the armature portion and the field portion thereof capable of being rotated. In the case where a pulley operatively interlocked with the output shaft of the prime mover is mounted on the rotary shaft of the armature portion, the drive shaft of the compressor is mounted on the rotating field portion. Once the dynamotor is operated in motor mode, the rotational speed of the compressor is increased to the sum of the input rotational speed and the rotational speed of the dynamotor. The compressor is stopped by disconnecting a power feed circuit. When the input rotational speed is too high, the dynamotor is operated in generator mode. In this way, the rotational speed is reduced in accordance with the generated electric energy.
Abstract:
The request from the client to the server is made through the traffic control apparatus. The traffic control apparatus includes a unit for controlling the request from the client, a unit for judging the data reception performance of the client and a unit for controlling the number of clients simultaneously connected to the server. The number of simultaneous connections in the server is controlled so that the resource of the server can be utilized sufficiently and the requests in number exceeding the performance of the server cannot be transferred. When it is expected that it takes time longer than a fixed time to provide the service to be required to the client, the request is rejected and when it is expected that the service can be provided within the fixed time, the request is received.
Abstract:
A fluorescent luminous tube includes a vacuumed envelope having two base members, an anode and a cathode installed inside the vacuumed envelope, a first and a second metal layer formed on one of the two base members, a wire shaped member mounted inside the vacuumed envelope, and a first and a second spacer, made of a metal, for supporting the wire shaped member at a predetermined height. One end portion of the wire shaped member is wound around the first spacer to be supported at the predetermined height and is interposed between the first spacer and the first metal layer to be fixed thereto. Further, the other end portion of the wire shaped member is supported at the predetermined height by the second spacer and is fixed to the second metal.
Abstract:
An organic electroluminescent device comprises an insulating substrate, a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a number of conductive wiring pads formed on the insulating substrate, wherein at least one of the electrode layers is transparent and the second electrode layer includes a plurality of disjointed electrodes, the disjointed electrodes being grouped into a plural number of groups and at least one of the groups having at least two disjointed electrodes, and an organic layer interposed between the first and the second electrode layers. The disjointed electrodes of each group are electrically connected to each other within said each group via one or more selected wiring pads.
Abstract:
In a fluorescent display device having control electrodes and anodes, each anode having an anode electrode and a fluorescent layer formed thereon, a filament is installed between the control electrodes and the anode electrodes. When an anode is selected to be turned on to emit light, a first voltage (V1) is applied to the filament, a second voltage (V2) is applied to the selected anode and a third voltage (V3) is applied to a control electrode facing the selected anode, wherein V2 is greater than V1 and V3 is equal to or greater than V1. When a voltage applied to a target control electrode is lower than a voltage applied to the filament by more than a predetermined voltage difference, an anode facing the target control electrode is not turned on to emit light even when V2 is applied thereto.
Abstract:
A data imprinting device for a camera which imprints data on a film, forming characters, numerals, etc. with dots by operating a plurality of dot imprinting parts in synchronism with the travel of the film, comprises: a detector for detecting whether the camera is in a lateral posture or a vertical posture; and a controller for causing the same dot imprinting parts to operate in such a manner that required data is imprinted in a correctly uprising state in a lateral position when the lateral posture is detected and in a vertical position when the vertical posture is detected.
Abstract:
An automatic flash mechanism for a camera with a focal length varying device including a mechanism for transmitting information on object distance, film sensitivity and the focal length of the optical system and is arranged to provide an aperture condition which is apposite to flash photography.
Abstract:
A shutter device for a still video camera comprises first and second shutter blades, a latch member and an unlatch member. The latch member latches the first blade at its moved position where an image pickup element is exposed to an image light. The first blade is kept latched for a preparatory exposure to correct a set exposure value on the basis of the output of the pickup element or for picking up a motion picture. The unlatch member releases the latching of the first blade. In one embodiment, the unlatch member is provided on the second blade to unlatch the first blade when the second blade is moved to terminate the exposure. In other embodiments, the unlatch member includes an electromagnet to unlatch the first blade.A still video camera comprises a view finder mirror and a mirror operating mechanism. The mechanism includes a motor and is arranged to retract and return the mirror relative to an optical path by utilizing a normal and a reverse rotation of the motor, respectively. In the disclosed embodiments, the camera further comprises a mechanism to maintain the mirror in the retracted condition and a shutter in the opened condition to operate in a motion video mode where an image pickup element is continuously exposed to an image light. The mechanism for setting in the motion video mode may be operable manually from the exterior of the camera or by connecting an external device to the camera.
Abstract:
A camera has a data imprinting function provided with transport means for transporting photosensitive means, data imprinting means for imprinting data on a frame of the photosensitive means during transportation by the transport means after that frame of the photosensitive means has been exposed, reader means for reading the regular maximum number of exposure frames from a code provided on the photosensitive means, counter means for counting the number of exposed frames of the photosensitive means, and restricting means for restricting, on the basis of the regular maximum number of exposure frames read out by the reader means and the counted content of the counter means, restricting the imprinting data on the photosensitive means during transportation beyond either the last frame or the last frame but one of the regular maximum number of exposure frames.
