Abstract:
A lower slide member has an upright side wall formed with a plurality of holes for engagement with an end of a latch member. The latch member is movably installed not only on a pair of depending wall portions of a stay but on a reinforcement member attached to a side wall of an upper slide member such that an impact applied to a buckle of a seat belt fastener in a vehicle collision is transmitted from the upper slide member to which the stay is secured to a vehicle body via the reinforcement member, latch member and lower slide member.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a non-contact type tonometer for measuring intraocular pressure of an eye under test in which a fluid for deforming a cornea, discharged along an optical axis of an alignment optical system toward the cornea in order to deform the cornea. The intraocular pressure is measured based on the measured deformation of the cornea. The alignment optical system comprises a projection optical system which is independently adapted for projecting a pair of target rays for alignment verification toward the cornea; and an alignment verification optical system in which corneal specular reflection rays of the pair of target rays are guided to the objective lens as if the pair of target rays were radiated from the corneal focal point. When an optical axis of the projection optical system is made coincident with the focal point of the cornea and the reflected target images are formed by the objective lens, alignment verification is effected based on duplication of the pair of target images.
Abstract:
A stereo-microscope is disclosed. It comprises a common objective lens system, a first and second imaging lens systems having optical paths parallel to that of the objective lens system producing intermediate images of an object, a first and second optical path deflecting devices arranged behind the respective imaging lens systems for deflecting the respective ejection bundle of rays outwardly relative to the optical path of the objective lens system, and a first and second ocular systems arranged behind the respective optical path deflecting device for observing the respective intermediate images. It is characterized in that a stereo angle .omega. which is to be decided depending on the base length between the first and second imaging lens systems and an observation angle .theta. which is defined between the observation optical paths of the first and second ocular systems are arranged to be equal. Another stereo-microscope is also disclosed. It comprises an objective optical system, a first and second ocular systems, a first and second eracting optical systems and devices for varying an observation angle .theta. defined between the observation axes of the first and second ocular systems.
Abstract:
A supporting device (8) of a vehicle seat head rest (4) includes a retainer (6, 40) provided with a spring (10, 21, 44) which surrounds a supporting rod (5) of the head rest and resiliently engages therewith to support the head rest (4) at a desired height which can be adjusted in a stepless manner. The frictional retaining force of the spring can be released by an operating member (11, 20, 40) when the height of the head rest is to be adjusted. A cylindrical guide member (7, 41) serves to guide the adjusting movement of the supporting rod (5).
Abstract:
Slit lamp having a slit illumination system, a binocular microscopic system and a photographing system. The binocular microscopic system has an objective lens assembly which is mounted replaceably on the body. A replaceable lens unit is provided for observation of the endothelial cell of the cornea. The lens unit include an objective lens, a relay lens and mirrors for directing the light bundle through the objective lens to one of the optical paths in the binocular microscopic system.
Abstract:
A device for forwardly and backwardly adjusting a head-rest according to the invention comprises a base plate fixed to stays extending above a back of a seat for an automobile and provided at its ends with lower rails formed with anchoring apertures, a slide formed on its upper surface with guides and on both sides with upper rails to be fitted with the lower rails, a flat plate-like locking lever traversely slidable within the guide of the slide and having a pair of anchoring pieces extending downwardly to engage in the anchoring apertures of the lower rails, a spring for urging the locking lever in one direction, and a cover for covering the base plate and the slide. With this arrangement, the position of the head-rest can be slidably adjusted by pushing the locking lever against the resilient force of the spring, and the head-rest can then be fixed at a desired position by releasing the locking lever.
Abstract:
A slit lamp microscope includes an illumination light source from which light is passed through two separate optical paths to the patient's eye. The first of the optical paths includes a slit mask and a projecting lens so that the light is focused on the patient's eye to provide a bright slit-like illumination. The light which has passed through the second path provides a uniform auxiliary illumination around the illuminated slit area so that the location of the area can be readily determined with respect to other portions of the patient's eye.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly which improves the reliability of seal, mechanical strength, and handling ability of a solid polymer type fuel cell. The manufacturing method includes: preparing a membrane electrode assembly which differs in the size of the gas diffusion layers at the anode side and the cathode side; and providing a resin frame at the outer peripheral edge of the membrane electrode assembly by molding; wherein the molding includes the use of a mold that keeps penetration of the resin frame material into the gas diffusion layers and/or electrode layers to a minimum and prevents warping of the outer peripheral edges.
Abstract:
