    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reusing long-term evolution (LTE) resources in a nested network system are provided. A first wireless communication device receives, from a second wireless communication device, a reference signal configuration of a first network of a long-term evolution (LTE) radio access technology (RAT). The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with a second network of another RAT. The first wireless communication device receives, from the second wireless communication device, a communication signal in the second network based on the reference signal configuration of the first network. The reference signal configuration indicates at least one of a frequency tone of a reference signal of the first network, a time period of the reference signal of the first network, or a number of antenna ports associated with the reference signal of the first network.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support communications between a base station and a user equipment (UE) on multiple carriers. A UE may maintain a connection with a base station on a first carrier (e.g., an anchor carrier), and the UE may use a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle on a second carrier. The DRX cycle may include scheduled on-durations during which the UE may monitor the second carrier for signaling from the base station. To reduce the power consumption at the UE associated with repeatedly monitoring scheduled on-durations, the base station may transmit wake-up signaling to the UE on the first carrier to identify the on-durations that include data from the base station. Accordingly, the UE may monitor these on-durations for the data and avoid monitoring other on-durations to limit power consumption.

    Abstract: A user equipment may identify one or more trigger factors associated with an assistance mode. The assistance mode may include a second radio associated with a second radio access technology (RAT) assisting a first radio associated with a first RAT. The UE may then measure a frequency offset between a first clock of the first radio and a second clock of the second radio based at least in part on the one or more trigger factors. The first clock may be associated with a first oscillator crystal, and the second clock may be associated with a second oscillator crystal. The UE may then store the frequency offset for use by the first radio and the second radio in the assistance mode.
