Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for measurements on a first frequency band applicable to procedures on a second frequency band. A technique that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) may include sending a base station (BS) an indication of the first frequency band, which may be a preferred measurement frequency band. The UE may then measure one or more reference signals (RSs) on the preferred measurement frequency band. The UE may then apply the measurements of the one or more RSs on the preferred measurement frequency band for one or more procedures on the second frequency band.
Abstract:
Aspects directed towards facilitating multi-node listen before talk (LBT) functionality via a centralized controller are disclosed. In one example, for each of a plurality of scheduled entities, a corresponding set of scheduling entities is identified, and each scheduling entity of the set of scheduling entities is instructed to perform at least one LBT evaluation. This example then further includes controlling whether any of the plurality of scheduled entities is served by a corresponding one or more scheduling entities of the set of scheduling entities based on the at least one LBT evaluation performed by each scheduling entity.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for sounding reference signal (SRS) coordination, power control, and synchronization for distributed coordinated multipoint (CoMP) using communications systems operating according to new radio (NR) technologies. For example, a method for wireless communications by a network entity includes determining a first amount of transmission (Tx) power for transmission of signals originating from a first cluster center that is connected to the network entity, determining a second amount of Tx power for transmission of signals originating from at least a second cluster center that is connected to the network entity, and transmitting signals for one or more user equipment (UEs) served by the first cluster center and one or more UEs served by the second cluster center based on the first amount of Tx power and the second amount of Tx power.
Abstract:
A method or apparatus for wireless communication at a scheduling entity communicating with a plurality of devices over a plurality of links in a shared spectrum in a way to avoid undue interference among the plurality of links. The apparatus receives a set of priority indicators, each priority indicator corresponding to time varying priorities for communicating over the plurality of links. The apparatus assigns each of the plurality of links a subset of the set of priority indicators. Each priority indicator maps to a time varying priority level for the communication during each of a plurality of frames. The apparatus may also receive an indication of a mapping function for determining the corresponding priority level for each priority indicator according to a frame number. Links assigned disjoint priority indicators may have TDM transmissions, whereas links having an overlapping priority indicator may have simultaneous transmissions.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for power control in coordinated multipoint (CoMP) scenarios that utilize joint transmission (JT). For example, a method for power control at a base station, may include receiving an indication, from at least one of a plurality of paired UEs served by a set of base stations using a common set of time/frequency resources, of a parameter relating to an uplink reference signal used for transmitting an uplink reference signal.
Abstract:
A control resource region of an New Radio system slot structure may be separated into control resource sets, only some of which may be used for control transmissions. Aspects presented herein improve the efficient utilization of resources by enabling data transmission in resources of the DL control resource region and/or the UL control resource region. A UE receives an indication of a control resource set in a control resource region of a slot that may provide a control channel resource or a data channel resource and performs rate matching for data transmissions in the data channel based at least in part on the indication. The indication may be a semi-static indication, e.g., RRC signaling, of the control resource set.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for wireless communications are described. The method and apparatus may include transmitting at least one frame that includes a first acquisition interval associated with a first operator and one or more first transmission opportunities having a guarantee interval for the first operator, and a second acquisition interval associated with a second operator different from the first operator and one or more second transmission opportunities having a guarantee interval for the second operator, the first acquisition interval and the one or more first transmission opportunities nonoverlapping with the second acquisition interval and the one or more second transmission opportunities.
Abstract:
Certain aspects relate to methods and apparatus for discovering whether one or more enhanced capabilities are supported by devices (e.g., user equipment (UE), base station (BS), etc.) in a network. The enhanced capabilities may include, for example, the ability to support certain low latency procedures, enhanced component carrier (eCC) capability, and the like. The devices in the network may perform one or more handover-related procedures (e.g., cell selection/reselection, make-before-break handover, etc.) and/or other procedures (e.g., QoS negotiation, etc.) based, at least in part, on support for the one or more enhanced capabilities.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication includes transmitting channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration information to a user equipment (UE). The CSI-RS configuration information is transmitted so that the UE may mitigate interference caused by interfering CSI-RSs. The CSI-RS configuration may be a CSI-RS configuration of a neighbor cell.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may receive a configuration corresponding to one or more channel state information (CSI) report settings associated with a reference signal resource set. The network node may transmit at least one CSI report that indicates a primary set of CSI measurements, of a plurality of CSI measurements associated with the reference signal resource set, and a secondary set of CSI measurements of the plurality of CSI measurements, wherein the plurality of CSI measurements comprises at least one of a physical layer reference signal received power (RSRP) value or a physical layer signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), and wherein the primary set of CSI measurements comprises at least one of a strongest RSRP value or a strongest SINR associated with the plurality of CSI measurements. Numerous other aspects are described.
