Abstract: In the present disclosure, CSI and/or a plurality of ACK/NACKs related to a group of DL data transmissions may be buffered at the UE as a GACK until a DCI trigger is received from the eNB. When the DCI trigger is received, the UE may transmit the CSI and/or GACK. In this way, HARQ feedback and/or CSI may be reliably communicated even if a CCA does not clear and/or UL subframes are unavailable. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In an aspect, the apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus monitors one or more subframes for a DCI trigger. In a further aspect, the apparatus receives the DCI trigger in a subframe. In another aspect, the apparatus transmits UCI using a subsequent subframe.

Abstract: The disclosure provides for a method of interference detection using adaptive energy detection in unlicensed spectrum. The method can include a first modem operating according to a first radio access technology (RAT) receiving a message from a network entity operating according to the first RAT. The first modem sends a detected energy level value to a second modem that is using a second RAT, where the detected energy level value is based at least on the measured energy level of the received message. The second modem adjusts an energy detection threshold based on the detected energy level value received from the first modem. In an aspect, the first modem receives messages from a plurality of network entities operating according to the first RAT, where the detected energy level value is determined based on measured energy levels of the plurality of received messages.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for paging comprise receiving data destined for a UE. The methods and apparatus further comprise determining a short identity for the UE relative to a longer global user equipment identity and identifying a MIB transmission based on a short identity. Moreover, the methods and apparatus comprise activating a bit within a slot of the MIB transmission to indicate that the user equipment listen for a page in order to receive the data and broadcasting the MIB. In other aspects, methods and apparatus for receiving a page comprise entering an idle state while camped on a cell. The methods and apparatus further comprise waking up from the idle state to monitor a slot of a MIB for a paging indication. Moreover, the methods and apparatus comprise recognizing the paging indication in the monitored slot of the MIB, determining a paging window based on correlation information in a SIB and waking up to listen for a page during the paging window.

Abstract: Reference signals may not uniformly span over time and/or frequency on a resource unit. For example, reference signals may non-uniformly occupy symbols of a subframe. Alternatively, reference signals normally transmitted over certain tones of a subframe may have to be punctured to avoid collisions with a PSS and/or SSS transmitted over the same tones. Consequently, a UE may only be able to use a subset of reference signal tones for performing channel estimation. Accordingly, a method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided for improving channel estimation under a non-uniform signal pattern. The apparatus indicates to a UE to utilize a subset of reference signals to derive a channel estimate for demodulating data in a specific subframe, and transmits a plurality of subframes, the plurality of subframes including the reference signals and the specific subframe, the specific subframe including a PSS and/or SSS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more rules for wireless communications on an outdoor network deployment using a licensed spectrum that includes an overlapping frequency band with respect to an unlicensed spectrum used for wireless communications on an indoor network, wherein the one or more rules facilitate coexistence between the indoor network and the outdoor network deployment. The UE may perform the wireless communications on the outdoor network deployment in accordance with the one or more rules.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support system information design for systems that support spectral sharing and network entity sharing for multiple mobile network operators (MNOs). For example, a UE may monitor a radio frequency (RF) spectrum for synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) from a network entity and associated with an MNO. The RF spectrum and the network entity may be shared by the MNO and one or more other MNOs. The UE may receive the SSBs via a broadcast channel within the RF spectrum. The SSBs may be shared SSBs that may include dedicated system information associated with the MNO and shared system information associated with multiple MNOs. The UE may communicate via the RF spectrum according to the dedicated system information and the shared system information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to indicate to a base station a distribution of transmit antennas and receive antennas across a set of antenna panels, and the base station may configure resource sets for reference signal transmissions from the antenna panels based on the indicated distribution. In a first example, the UE may be configured to indicate a respective number of transmit antennas and receive antennas at each antenna panel. In a second example, the UE may be configured to indicate a sum of transmit antennas and a sum of receive antennas across all antenna panels, along with information on how the transmit antennas and receive antennas are distributed. Based on the indication, the base station may configure resource sets for reference signal transmission on sets of ports in resources of the resource sets.
