    Abstract: A UE is configured to determine a set of parameters associated with receiving the SSBs, the set of parameters including a first parameter bitmap associated with a serving cell, a second parameter bitmap associated with the neighbor cell, and the SMTC. The UE is configured to determine a search window for searching the received SSBs based on the SMTC and at least one of the first parameter bitmap or the second parameter bitmap. The UE may measure the SSBs searched during the determined search window and send measurement results associated with at least a subset of the measured SSBs to the base station. The UE may also prune measurements to generate the measurement results by removing measurements associated with SSBs received in slots that are not indicated to expect SSBs, based on the first parameter bitmap, the second first parameter bitmap, or the SMTC.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for beam failure detection and recovery. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring one or more first reference signals to detect a beam failure for one or more first control resource sets (CORESETs), transmitting an indication of the beam failure, and receiving a beam failure response after the transmission of the indication of the beam failure, wherein the monitoring of the one or more first reference signals for the detection of the beam failure stops in response to the reception of the beam failure response. The UE may then receive a configuration message after the reception of the beam failure response, and monitor, in response to the reception of the configuration message, one or more second reference signals to detect another beam failure for one or more second CORESETs.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) having at least two radio frequency (RF) chains and capable of communicating with first and second radio access networks (RANs). In aspects, the UE may utilize both RF chains to measure signals in the first RAN, during a first measurement period, while on the second RAN.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) are described. The UE may identify that the UE is operating in a high mobility environment, that a first reference signal received power associated with a first cell is decreasing, and that a second reference signal received power associated with a second cell is increasing. The UE may transmit a request for a handover from the first cell to the second cell based on the identifying, the transmitting performed at a time that may be based on one or more network-configured handover timing parameters having one or more values adjusted by the UE. The UE may receive a handover command in response to transmitting the request for handover. The UE may perform a handover from the first cell to the second cell in response to the handover command.
