    Abstract: New wireless networks can perform enhanced beamforming training for a multiple access technique, such as orthogonal frequency division multiple-access (OFDMA). The configurations of the stations and the networks presented herein provide a multiple-station beam refinement protocol (MSBRP) that may be used to train the transmit end and/or the receive end for the stations in a dense wireless local area network (WLAN). The MSBRP can have at least two phases. The first phase concurrently trains the receive side of multiple responder stations from one set of training signals sent from an initiator station. Then, each responder station can send training signals to the initiator station in a set of ordered phases associated with each responder station. The MSBRP eliminates inefficiencies associated with conducting multiple BRPs that include only pairs of stations.

    Abstract: Embodiments for an access point (AP) and method for communication in a basic service set (BSS) of a management domain are generally described herein. The AP may be configured to maintain a list of BSSs that belong to the management domain and retrieve, for a station (STA) configured to perform spatial reuse over overlapping basic service set (OBSS) physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data units (OBSS PPDUs) belonging to OBSSs from the management domain, at least one parameter for a spatial reuse rule that proportions overlapping basic service set packet detection levels (OBSS_PD) and transmit power (TxPower) levels for the STA. In an embodiment, the AP may retrieve, for a STA configured to perform spatial reuse over OBSS PPDUs not belonging to OBSSs from the management domain, default parameters for a spatial reuse rule that proportions OBSS_PD and TxPower levels for the STA and encode, for transmission to the STA belonging to the OBSSs from the management domain, an indication of the at least one parameters, and encode, for transmission to the STA not belonging to OBSSs from the management domain, an indication of the default parameters.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for scheduling trigger frames in a high-efficiency wireless (HEW) local-area network are disclosed. An apparatus of a HEW master station is disclosed. The HEW master station includes transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry configured to transmit a random access trigger frame (TF-R) to a plurality of HEW stations, and receive resource requests from one or more of the plurality of HEW stations in response to the TF-R. The transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry is further configured to transmit an indication when a trigger frame is to be transmitted. The trigger frame is to comprise resource allocations in response to the resource requests. An apparatus of a HEW station may enter a power save mode until a time when a trigger frame is scheduled that includes resource allocations in response to resource requests transmitted to a master station from the HEW station.

For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless station to transmit a short feedback trigger frame including a first allocation of opportunities for short feedback from associated stations, and a second allocation of opportunities for short feedback from unassociated stations; to process a plurality of short feedbacks from a plurality of stations according to the first and second allocations, the plurality of short feedbacks to indicate uplink resource requests; based on the plurality of short feedbacks, to transmit a MU trigger frame to allocate uplink resources to the plurality of stations; and to process uplink transmissions from the plurality of stations according to the uplink resources.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for spatial reuse for uplink multi-user transmissions. An apparatus of a station comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry may be configured to decode a first portion of a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU), and configure the station to transmit a frame, if the PPDU is an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) PPDU, and a receive power of the PPDU is below an overlapping power detect level. The processing circuitry may be configured to encode a PPDU comprising a basic service set identifier of the access point, and encode the PPDU to indicate spatial reuse (SR) delay, SR restricted, or SR not permitted.     Abstract: An apparatus of a first high-efficiency (HE) access point (AP) or station for spatial reuse is the disclosed. The apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to: decode a first portion of a first packet; and if the first portion indicates the first packet was transmitted by a second HE AP or station and that the first packet is an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) packet, then if a preamble detect energy is below a threshold, cause to be transmitted a second packet simultaneously with a portion of the first packet after the first portion. The processing circuitry may be configured to determine the first portion was transmitted by the second HE AP or station if a field in a physical (PHY) header or a second field in a media access control (MAC) header indicate the first packet was transmitted by the second HE AP or station.
