    摘要: Speed and service aware frequency band selection processes for mobility networks are described. In one embodiment, a system can comprising a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations comprise selecting a frequency band for performance of data communication between a communication device (CD) and network equipment of a communication network based on a speed of the CD, and instructing the CD to employ the frequency band for the data communication based on the selecting. In various embodiments, the selecting is responsive to the speed exceeding a threshold speed indicating the CD moving a high speed and the selected frequency band comprises a low frequency band tailored for data communication at the high speed. The frequency band selection can also account for other contextual criteria associated with the CD, including services/applications used, location, and route/trajectory of the device.

Grouping of an AP slice can comprise grouping to a radio access network (RAN) slice, to a backhaul network (BH) slice, to a network core component (core) slice, or combinations thereof. The grouping can be based on end point device information, AP environment information, and/or user preference information. Coordinating or synchronization of AP, RAN, BH, core slices, or combinations thereof, can enable streamlining of migration of a device between an AP component to a RAN component. Moreover, slice coordination can enable efficient use of communication path resources tailored to needs of devices connecting to an AP device. A determined grouping can be modified before provisioning, or after provisioning, in response to changes in device demands, AP state, etc.

    摘要: Adaptive user equipment capability reporting is disclosed. Continuing increases in the number of radio access technologies and more granular division of radio spectrum can result in a conventional user equipment capability report exceeding a threshold size, such as a threshold size set by a standards organization. In response, a conventional user equipment capability report can be truncated, which can result in loss of valuable user equipment capability information. The disclosed subject matter provides for generating an adapted user equipment capability report that can be smaller than the conventional user equipment capability reports in response to receiving an oversize user equipment capability report. The adapted user equipment capability report can intelligently comprise a preferred user equipment capability and can segregate reported capabilities by radio access technology. This can avoid loss of user equipment capability information corresponding to the preferred user equipment capability comprised in the adapted user equipment capability report.
