    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for providing media asset recommendations to a user based on user input in real time and using a reinforcement learning model or media asset recommendation model. The model includes a plurality of states, each having a set of media asset recommendations, a plurality of available user input options, and a state value. During a browsing session, a first set of media asset recommendations is provided to a user based on a current state corresponding to the browsing session. The user then selects a user input option, and a second set of media asset recommendations is determined based on the received user input option. The second set of media asset recommendations is then provided to the user during the browsing session.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for reducing or preventing motion sickness using an animated overlay displayed over a content item and reflecting a detected acceleration. In some embodiments the systems and methods generate for display, on a device, a content item. The systems and methods determine an acceleration of the device along a vector, where the vector comprises a vector component that is normal to a plane defined by the display of the content item. The systems and methods then generate for display a graphical overlay over the display of the content item, wherein the graphical overlay is animated to appear to move in a direction defined by the vector comprising the vector component that is normal to the plane defined by the display.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for simultaneously being present in multiple extended reality (XR) apps running on the same XR device are disclosed. The methods concurrently run multiple XR apps on the user's XR device and use an avatar to represent the user's presence in each app. The methods determine whether the user is actively present in a first app or a second app. When the user is not actively present in a first app, activity in the first app is monitored, the avatar is configured to provide auto-responses based on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), or preprogrammed responses for relevant queries to simulate the user's presence. Notifications and summary of the activities in the first app are provided to the user while they are actively present in the second app. Instead of rendering the first app, back-end simulations of the activities in the first app are processed and made available when rendering is resumed.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for manipulating a stereoscopic display so that portions of the stereoscopic display are located at varying planes. This may be accomplished by a device comprising a plurality of microdisplays receiving a piece of three-dimensional (3D) content. The device may determine that a portion of the 3D content comprises a 3D object at a location within the 3D content. The device may then change the position of a first microdisplay according to the location of the 3D object within the 3D content. The device may display the 3D content using the plurality of microdisplays, wherein the first microdisplay displays the 3D object. The first microdisplay changing positions according to the location of the 3D object within the 3D content provides depth for rendering the 3D object at a suitable accommodation distance and reduces or eliminates the vergence-accommodation conflict for the user.
