Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for providing automatically navigating between rooms within a virtual space for virtual conferencing. The program and method provide for virtual conferencing between plural participants within a first room of plural rooms included within the virtual space; provide, for each of the plural participants, display of a participant video element which corresponds to the participant and which includes a user-selectable button for requesting that the participant follow another participant with respect to navigating between the plural rooms; receive a first indication of a user selection, by a first participant, of the user-selectable button corresponding to a second participant; receive a second indication that the second participant authorizes following the first participant when navigating between the plural rooms; and provide for the second participant to follow the first participant.

Abstract: Method for generating collectible media content items based on location information starts with processor receiving location information from location sensor coupled to first client computing device. Processor causes a map interface to be displayed that includes avatar of first user at a location based on the location information and a subset of a plurality of collectible items associated with geographical coordinates. When the first client computing device is determined to be within predetermined distance from a selected collectible item, processor causes front facing camera view to be displayed on the first client computing device, causes lens corresponding to selected collectible item to be applied to the front facing camera view, and causes the image of the selected collectible item displayed on the front facing camera view to change. Lens includes image of the selected collectible item that is overlaid on front facing camera view. Other embodiments are described herein.

Abstract: In a graphical user interface (GUI) for a social media platform, social media content is surfaced with variable visual attributes based on activity metrics. In a GUI for a social media platform, where the GUI provides access to posted social media items, an activity metric is determined for the underlying social media activity associated with each of multiple collections of social media items. The GUI displays user-selectable interface elements, such as icons, corresponding to these collections, with each icon having a visual attribute that varies depending on the activity metric. This results in visual differences between collection icons based on differences in their corresponding activity metrics.
