The spacer is formed from an anisotropically etched conformal layer deposited on an upper surface and into the opening.

Provided are an object-based three dimensional (3-D) audio service system using preset audio scenes and a method thereof. The system and the method are suggested for enabling a user to easily and conveniently watch and listen an object based 3-D audio service by eliminating inconvenience that requires a user to control each of object audio signals of sound sources. The system includes: audio input means for inputting an audio signal; preset audio scene generating means for extracting object audio signals from the audio signal inputted through the audio input means and generating more than one of 3-D audio scene information by arranging the extracted object audio signals in a 3-D space and editing features of each object; and encoding means for encoding and multiplexing the audio signal and the 3-D audio scene information for each object audio signal.

The apparatus includes an image sensor generating a first image by applying different exposure times for units of different predetermined regions, an image separating unit separating the first image into images, each of which is composed of regions having an identical exposure time, an image restoring unit restoring the separated images in such a way that each of the separated images has a resolution that is the same as a resolution of the first image, and an image synthesizing unit synthesizing the restored images into a second image.

Provided are a method for generating an instantaneous decoding refresh (IDR) unit for trick play, and a trick play system and method using the same. The trick play system includes: a speed information input unit configured to receive a speed value; a transmission condition determining unit configured to determine instantaneous decoding refresh (IDR) transmission conditions based on the speed value inputted through the speed information input unit; a double-speed IDR-unit generating unit configured to generate a double-speed IDR-unit by adjusting the number and data size of video frames to be transmitted in accordance with the transmission conditions determined by the transmission condition determining unit; and a transmitting unit configured to transmit the generated double-speed IDR-unit to an external user terminal.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for controlling sensor data in a cloud system. The apparatus includes a plurality of virtual machines, and a service module. Each of the plurality of virtual machines obtains sensor information about a user terminal by driving an internal sensor data processing module at a request of the corresponding user terminal, and provides the application execution environment of a requested service by connecting to the user terminal over a network. The service module provides an application corresponding to the requested service to a virtual machine which requested the service. When a sensor Application Programming Interface (API) of the user terminal is called by the application, the virtual machine requests sensor data from the user terminal based on the sensor information about the user terminal, and provides the result of measurement of the sensor data from the user terminal to the corresponding application.

An apparatus and method for injecting synchronized stream data into a Motion Picture Experts Group 2 (MPEG-2) video/audio transport stream for a digital data broadcasting service. The apparatus and method for injecting synchronized stream data calculate the injection time point of data access unit (DAU) that forms the synchronized stream data and injects DAU into the MPEG-2 video/audio transport stream based on the calculated injection time point so that the synchronized stream data could be presented smoothly in a receiver. The synchronized stream data injecting apparatus includes: an additional data storing unit, a synchronized stream data selection/establishment unit, a synchronized stream data analyzing unit, a transport stream analyzing unit, a synchronized stream data injection/management unit, a presentation time stamp re-stamping unit and a multiplexing unit.

Provided are a large-scale cluster monitoring system and a method for automatically building/restoring the same, which can automatically build a large-scale monitoring system and can automatically build a monitoring environment when a failure occurs in nodes. The large-scale cluster monitoring system includes a CM server, a BD server, GM nodes, NA nodes, and a DB agent. The CM server manages nodes in a large-scale cluster system. The DB server stores monitoring information that is state information of nodes in groups. The GM nodes respectively collect the monitoring information that is the state information of the nodes in the corresponding groups to store the collected monitoring information in the DB server. The NA nodes access the CM server to obtain GM node information and respectively collect the state information of the nodes in the corresponding groups to transfer the collected state information to the corresponding GM nodes. The DB agent monitors the monitoring information of the nodes in the groups, which is stored in the DB server, to detect a possible node failure.
