    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed at an underside of a vehicle. The camera is movable between (i) a deployed position, where the camera is at least partially exposed at the underside of the vehicle and views a region between the ground under the vehicle and at least a portion of the underside of the vehicle, and (ii) a stowed position, where the camera is moved from the deployed position toward the underside of the vehicle to reduce exposure of the camera. A deployment mechanism is electrically operable to move the camera between the deployed position and the stowed position. The vehicular vision system, based on processing of image data captured by the camera when in the deployed position, determines presence of an object at the region viewed by the camera and operates the deployment mechanism to move the camera to the stowed position.

    Abstract: A method includes disposing a spherical radar reflector at a location exterior a vehicle equipped with the vehicular sensing system. The vehicular sensing system includes at least two radar sensors disposed at the vehicle and a controller that processes received radio frequency (RF) signals received by the plurality of receivers of each radar sensor of the at least two radar sensors. Calibration RF signals are transmitted by at least one transmitting antenna of a plurality of transmitters of a first radar sensor and a second radar sensor the at least two radar sensors, and reflected first calibration RF signals are received by the plurality of receivers of the first radar sensor and the second radar sensor. Based on a distance between the first radar sensor, the second radar sensor, and the spherical reflector, the vehicular sensing system determines an orientation of the first radar sensor and the second radar sensor.

    Abstract: A vehicular cabin monitoring system includes a radar sensor disposed at a vehicle so as to sense interior of the vehicle. The radar sensor includes at least one transmitter that transmits radio signals, and a plurality of receivers that receive radio signals. The vehicular cabin monitoring system, responsive to processing by a processor of radar data captured by the radar sensor and using a neural network, determines occupancy of a seat of the vehicle. The determined occupancy of the seat of the vehicle includes (i) the seat of the vehicle is not occupied, (ii) the seat of the vehicle is occupied by an adult and (iii) the seat of the vehicle is occupied by a child. The vehicular cabin monitoring system generates an alert responsive to determining that the seat of the vehicle is occupied by a child and that no seat of the vehicle is occupied by an adult.

    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a forward viewing camera disposed at and viewing through a windshield of a vehicle, and a driver viewing camera that views the eyes of a driver of the vehicle. Image data captured by the forward viewing camera is processed to determine (i) a light source ahead of the vehicle, (ii) an intensity of the determined light source and (iii) a position of the determined light source relative to the vehicle. Image data captured by the driver viewing camera is processed to determine gaze direction of the driver. The system determines a region of the windshield based at least in part on (i) the determined position of the determined light source and (ii) the determined gaze direction of the driver. The system, responsive to the intensity of the determined light source being greater than a threshold level, locally darkens the determined region of the windshield.

    Abstract: A vehicular compartment temperature control system includes an insulated compartment disposed within a vehicle. The system includes at least one cooling element at the insulated compartment and operable to cool an interior cavity of the insulated compartment. A temperature sensor senses temperature within the insulated compartment. An output of the temperature sensor is provided to a control to determine temperature of the interior cavity. The control, responsive to receiving a signal indicative of a user selected temperature that is selected by a user via operating a user input of the vehicular compartment temperature control system, and responsive to determination that the determined temperature of the interior cavity of the insulated compartment is greater than the user selected temperature by at least a threshold amount, controls the at least one cooling element to adjust temperature of the interior cavity of the insulated compartment toward the user selected temperature.

    Abstract: A vehicular trailer hitching assist system includes a rear backup camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle. At least a hitching portion of a trailer hitched to a hitch of the vehicle is viewed by the rear backup camera. Image data captured by the rear backup camera is processed at an image processor. The vehicular trailer hitching assist system, via processing at the image processor of the image data captured by the rear backup camera, determines an incorrect connection of the hitching portion of the trailer to the hitch of the vehicle. The vehicular trailer hitching assist system, responsive to determination of the incorrect connection of the hitching portion of the trailer to the hitch of the vehicle, limits operation of the vehicle or alerts a driver of the vehicle of the determined incorrect connection of the hitching portion of the trailer to the hitch of the vehicle.
