Abstract:
Techniques for initiating and, if desired, modifying location services for Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) and other location architectures are described. To initiate SUPL service, a SUPL Location Platform (SLP) transmits a SUPL initial session message applicable to any service request to a SUPL enabled terminal (SET) and receives in response the service capabilities of the SET. The SLP selects and requests service from the SET consistent with the service capabilities of the SET. The SET may initiate SUPL service by requesting the service capabilities of the SLP. The SET selects and requests service from the SLP that is consistent with the service capabilities received from the SLP. The SET and SLP communicate to determine a position estimate for the SET. The service may be modified before or while communicating between the SET and the SLP to determine a position estimate for the SET.

A method for combining tire pressure monitoring with keyless entry, is applied in a vehicle (10) and a remote controller (20), the vehicle (10) includes a vehicle radio frequency transceiver unit (106), an engine (102), a vehicle door lock (104) and a tire (110). The tire (110) includes a tire radio frequency transceiver unit (112) and a tire pressure sensor unit (114). The tire radio frequency transceiver unit (112) transmits a tire pressure information signal (S3). The method including the steps of: transmitting a keyless entry radio frequency signal (S1) via the remote controller (20); receiving the keyless entry radio frequency signal (S1) via the vehicle radio frequency transceiver unit (106), and unlocking the vehicle door lock (104); starting the vehicle (10); and changing an emitting cycle of the tire pressure information signal (S3) transmitted by the tire radio frequency transceiver unit (112) into a first cycle.

A fixed seat is pivotably mounted onto the other end of the outer resilient plate. A buffer device includes a connecting member, a buffer, and an inner resilient plate. Each of a first pivot hole of the connecting member, an end of the buffer, and an end of the inner resilient plate is pivotably mounted onto the base. The other end of the buffer is pivotably mounted onto a second pivot hole of the connecting member. The other end of the inner resilient plate is slideably mounted onto an arcuate slot of the connecting member. The inner resilient plate further includes a fulcrum pivot hole in at intermediate portion thereof. The fulcrum pivot hole is pivotably mounted by a pivot to the base.

Abstract:
A display device having bi-directional scan mechanism includes a plurality of gate lines, a first shift register circuit and a second shift register circuit. The first shift register circuit includes a plurality of forward shift register stages. The second shift register circuit includes a plurality of backward shift register stages. Each of the gate lines is electrically connected to both a corresponding forward shift register stage and a corresponding backward shift register stage. When the first shift register circuit is enabled, the forward shift register stages are employed to provide plural forward gate signals sequentially enabled for scanning the gate lines based on a first sequence. When the second shift register circuit is enabled, the backward shift register stages are employed to provide plural backward gate signals sequentially enabled for scanning the gate lines based on a second sequence opposite to the first sequence.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for dynamically adjusting the playout delay for audio signals, which mainly includes three parts of dynamic adjustment, i.e., playout delay, silence length, and jitter buffer size. In the invention, the time for playout delay is real-time adjusted according to the probability distribution of the number of packets buffered in a jitter buffer. A voice active detection mechanism is taken to detect silence within a voice packet. By dynamically adjusting the silence length in the voice packets, the present invention reduces the network variation impact on the voice quality. It also overcomes the drawback of conventional techniques for estimating playout delay, and reduces the whole computation complexity of the playout delay for the voice packets.
Abstract:
Identification of transmitters for signals received by a terminal. To determine the transmitter of a given received signal, a list of candidate transmitters that may have transmitted that signal is determined. A coverage zone to use for the received signal is also determined. This coverage zone is the area where the terminal may receive the signal being identified. The predicted power for each candidate transmitter is then determined, e.g., using a path loss prediction model and the coverage zone. The predicted powers for the candidate transmitters are compared (directly or relatively) against the measured power of the received signal. The candidate transmitter with (direct/relative) predicted power closest to the (direct/relative) measured power is deemed as the one that transmitted the signal. Propagation delays may also be predicted and used for transmitter identification. The identified transmitters may be used to determine a position estimate for the terminal.
