    摘要: A ballast having fused leads protects against uncommon, but harmful, ballast failures. The fused leads prevent a current in the primary coil of the ballast from exceeding a potentially damaging value. A thermal protector shorts the primary ballast coil if the temperature of the secondary ballast coil exceeds a potentially damaging value. Since the thermal protector permanently disables the ballast, potentially damaging repetitive overheating of the ballast is prevented.

    摘要: A lamp ignition circuit provides a high voltage electrical pulse to ignite a gas discharge lamp. A non-linear filter element within a charge circuit regulates the voltage of the ignition pulse such that the ignition pulse remains within a prescribed voltage range over a wide variety of conduit lengths between the lamp and the lamp ignition circuit. This allows for the ballast and lamp ignition circuit to be mounted either close to the lamp or far from the lamp without modifying the ignition circuitry.

    摘要: A software controlled electronic dimming ballast for preheating, striking, and varying the dimming level of a lamp. In one embodiment, the ballast includes an EMI filter circuit, an AC/DC converter circuit, a PFC circuit, an inverter circuit, and a software controlled microcontroller circuit. The microcontroller circuit includes a microcontroller and software for generating inverter control signals that cause the inverter circuit to preheat, strike, and varying the dimming level of the lamp. The inverter control signals are generated based on dimming control and lamp dimming level feedback signals. The ballast also includes a lamp dimming level feedback signal conditioning circuit for generating the lamp dimming level feedback signals. Alternative embodiments of the ballast are also described.

    摘要: An LED driver for light modulation control includes a power converter circuit, a feedback circuit, a buffer circuit, an energy recovery circuit, and a controller. The power converter circuit is configured to provide an output current to an LED load coupled thereto. The feedback circuit is configured to generate an error signal which is fed back to the power converter circuit for maintaining the power converter circuit in a constant current output state. The buffer circuit is coupled to the LED load and configured for quick turn off of the LED load and for temporary storage of power. The energy recovery circuit is configured to reuse the power stored in the buffer circuit before relying on an external power source to power the controller and the feedback circuit. The controller is configured to control at least one aspect of each of the circuits of the LED driver.

During a device commissioning mode, each device emits position signals and identifies signal characteristics of position signals received from proximate devices thereto. A central controller collects the position signals from the devices and generates a data set comprising identified locations for each device relative to predetermined baseline locations, based on the received position signals and the identified signal characteristics. The controller further maps the identified locations for each of the devices to specified locations in the parking area comprising the predetermined baseline locations. During a normal operating mode, the controller may generate signals directing drivers in the parking area to unoccupied parking spaces, and/or regulate a lighting state for light fixtures in the parking area based at least partly on detected occupancy states.

The EMI suppression circuit includes a pi-type filter network having first and second filter input terminals and having first and second filter output terminals. The pi-type filter network includes a common mode choke and a differential mode choke between the input terminals and the output terminals. The pi-type filter network includes a first X-type capacitor across the first and second filter input terminals and includes a second X-type capacitor across the first and second filter output terminals. A first Y-type emission reduction capacitor is connected between the first filter input terminal and earth ground. At least a second Y-type emission reduction capacitor and a damping resistor are connected in series to form a series resistor-capacitor combination between the first filter output terminal and earth ground.

A break point is defined in the mount. First and second mount portions are located on either side of the break point. Each of the first and second mount portions are able to connect to the light fixture at the fixture opening. The first mount portion may connect to the light fixture if the light fixture has a large gasket lip, and the second portion may connect to the light fixture if the light fixture has a short gasket lip.
