摘要: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product support wireless communication with reduced distraction for a driver experiencing challenging driving conditions. The method includes initiating setup of a communication session by the electronic system as host, via the communication subsystem and the communication network, with a first electronic device and second electronic device(s). In response to determining that the first electronic device is being used by a driver in a vehicle, the method includes pausing setup of the communication session to reduce distractions to the driver when potentially in a challenging driving condition. The method includes requesting data about the first electronic device that indicates whether current driving conditions allow the driver to communicate without degrading driving performance. The method includes completing setup of the communication session in response to verifying that the driver is able to communicate while safely operating the vehicle under the current driving conditions.

摘要: An electronic device, a method and a computer program product for camera adjustments based on eye gaze tracking. The method includes capturing, via a front facing camera, an image stream containing a face of a user and determining, via a processor, an eye gaze direction based on images retrieved from the image stream. The eye gaze direction corresponds to a location where the user is looking. In response to determining that the user is looking away from the front surface of the electronic device and towards a direction within a field of view of a rear facing camera, the method further includes identifying image characteristics of the location, generating camera settings of the rear facing camera based on the eye gaze direction/characteristics of the location and adjusting the rear facing camera using the generated camera settings such that the rear facing camera focuses on the location.

摘要: An electronic device, computer program product, and method are provided that automatically manages compliance by a participant during a video communication session. The electronic device communicatively connects over a network to second electronic device(s) during a video communication session. The electronic device receives image stream(s) produced respectively by an image capturing device of a corresponding second electronic device. The electronic device identifies person(s) within the image stream(s) and compares to a roster of at least one person expected to join the video communication session to produce attendance data. The electronic device determines participation data related to an amount of time that the person(s) gaze toward the image capturing device of the corresponding second electronic device. The electronic device communicates, to a host output device, the attendance data and the participation data of the person(s) during a duration of the video communication session.

摘要: A voice call is established between two or more computing devices. The voice call may be, for example, audio only or audio and video. One computing device, referred to as a near-end device, receives a digital representation of background noise captured at another computing device, referred to as a far-end device. The near-end device captures voice audio from the user of the near-end device and adjusts the voice audio based at least in part on the digital representation of the background noise at the far-end device. The near-end device then transmits the adjusted voice audio to the far-end device for playback at the far-end device.

摘要: A method provides concurrent transmission of a virtual action center with a primary segment cropped from a video image, enabling remote participant control of aspects of the primary segment. The method includes identifying a primary region of interest (ROI) within a video image and delineating the video image into a primary segment encompassing the primary ROI and a secondary segment. The method includes associating a virtual action center within a location of the secondary segment and assigning control features of the virtual action center to the second device connected via a video communication session. The method includes transmitting the primary segment and concurrently transmitting the features/functions of the virtual action center to the second device, enabling the second device to concurrently present, on its display, the primary segment and the virtual action center as portions of a received video stream, providing second device control of content within the primary segment.

摘要: A method, a communication device and a computer program product for selecting an active camera from a front facing camera and a rear facing camera for use during a video communication session. The method includes receiving, via a processor, first communication input associated with a non-video communication session. In response to detecting a switch from the non-video communication session to a video communication session, a first context is determined at the communication device based on the first communication input. The first context is associated with using an active camera selected at the communication device to capture and share video data with the second communication device. The selected active camera is one of the front facing camera and the rear facing camera. The method further includes selecting, as the active camera, one of the front facing camera or the rear facing camera that is associated with the first context.

The method includes receiving a segmented video stream from the IST device during a video communication session. The segmented video stream includes a primary segment and a secondary segment presenting a virtual control interface. The method includes presenting, on a display device, a control enabling view of the segmented video stream and monitoring for movement, captured by at least one image capturing device, that is indicative of the input occurring within a spatial location proximate to the selectable feature. The method includes in response to detecting the input, identifying a function associated with the selectable feature and activating the function to affect one or more characteristics of a video image presented within the primary segment.
