Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for interference management with adaptive resource block (RB) allocation. In an exemplary method, a base station (BS) obtains an indication that downlink transmissions to a first user equipment (UE) potentially interfere with uplink transmissions by a second UE, the BS dynamically allocates, based on the indication, a first set of one or more resource blocks (RBs) for the downlink transmissions to the first UE, and the BS then transmits an indication of the first set of RBs to the first UE. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Systems and method of embodiments herein operate to conserve battery power of user equipment (UE). Embodiments determine whether waking up a UE receiver would be beneficial and based on the determination, the UE either wakes up the receiver or returns to sleep. Embodiments determine whether to wake up the receiver by performing pre-wake up (PWU) operation which either wakes up the receiver in a low power mode or wakes up the UE's wake up receiver. It may be determined whether a wake up (WU) signal is received during a PWU stage. If a WU signal is received during the PWU stage the UE may perform a full wake up of the receiver. If a WU signal is not received the UE may return to idle mode. In embodiments, WU (Wake Up) DRX cycles are supplemented with a Full DRX (Discontinuous Reception) cycle.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a base station to trigger link management for a user equipment (UE) via a wake up message (e.g., wake-up signal (WUS)). The base station may transmit a WUS to the UE as part of discontinuous reception operations and may indicate, via a link management triggering field of the WUS, one or more link management procedures to perform. The link management triggering field may refer to one or more indices in a table of reference signals (RSs) of a system, in a table of RSs for WUSs, or both. The UE may receive the WUS and may use the link management triggering field, and any corresponding tables, to identify one or more link management procedures to perform. The UE and the base station may perform the one or more link management procedures according to the information in the WUS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a low latency mode indication that indicates one or more different retransmission timelines or repetition techniques relative to communications that are not associated with the low latency mode indication. The base station may provide the low latency mode indication in downlink control information (DCI) that may include a resource grant for uplink resources for an uplink communication, such as for a UE transmission of pose information of an extended reality (XR) application. The low latency mode indication may signal that no retransmissions of the uplink communication are to be transmitted, that a different retransmission timeline is enabled for low latency mode communications, that retransmissions may happen based on a particular timeline that is determined according to one or more timers, or any combinations thereof.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to network power saving are provided. In one embodiment, a base station (BS) of a wireless communication network determines to enter a sleep mode. The BS transmits, to one or more user equipment (UEs) of the wireless communication network, a communication signal indicating that the BS will enter the sleep mode. The BS operates in the sleep mode for a sleep mode period. In one embodiment, a UE receives, from a BS, a communication signal indicating that the BS will enter a sleep mode for a sleep mode period. The UE refrains, during one or more sleep windows of the sleep mode period, from performing uplink communications.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for allocation of control channel candidates for multiple component carriers (CCs) in carrier aggregation (CA) communications. A CA limit may correspond to a total number of configurable control channel candidates across multiple CCs. The control channel candidates may include blind decoding (BD) candidates or control channel element (CCE) candidates for channel estimation. A per-CC limit of control channel candidates may correspond to a number of configurable control channel candidates for each CC. An applied set of control channel candidates may be determined by allocating control channel candidates across the multiple CCs based on the CA limit and the per-CC limit. Such techniques may be used in cases where the CCs have a same numerology or mixed numerology, and may also be used for cross-carrier scheduling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain access to a base station by performing an initial access procedure within an initial access bandwidth. In some cases, the UE may monitor for a cell specific configuration in the initial access bandwidth that indicate one or more first common search spaces within the initial access bandwidth that the UE may monitor for control information. Additionally, the UE may receive dedicated signaling after the initial access procedure that indicates a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) and one or more second common search spaces within the downlink BWP to monitor for control information. Accordingly, the UE may monitor the first common search spaces, the second common search spaces, or both based on the dedicated signaling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one example, a method includes selecting between a first frequency range and a second frequency range to transmit a physical channel, the second frequency range being higher than the first frequency range, and jointly encoding at least two fields of the physical channel based at least in part on the selected frequency range. In some cases, the method includes selecting between a first frequency range and a second frequency range to transmit a physical channel. In some cases, the second frequency range is higher than the first frequency range. The method may further include adjusting a quantity of bits associated with a field of the physical channel based at least in part on the selected frequency range.

Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit a user equipment (UE) to transition among different power configurations, which include different values for different power parameters, that impact an amount of power consumed by the UE. In some aspects, these transitions may be signaled by a base station based at least in part on traffic volume for the UE, which may assist with improving throughput and/or extending battery life of the UE. Furthermore, these transitions may be signaled dynamically, such as in downlink control information (DCI) and/or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) MAC-CE, which may conserve battery power and/or network resources as compared to reconfiguring the UE using an RRC message, and which may allow the UE to be reconfigured quickly as conditions associated with the UE change.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support complexity reduction for a control resource set (CORESET). A low complexity user equipment (UE) may experience reduced performance if a number of resource block (RB) groups in a CORESET is above a given threshold, or if any symbols of a CORESET are multiplexed with any other signal or channel. A base station may configure a CORESET for a low complexity UE to support reduction in complexity of information detection compared with a CORESET configured for other UEs. The configured CORESET may be based on one or more capabilities of a low complexity UE and may include a reduced number of RB groups or may avoid overlapping with any other signal or channel. If a CORESET configured for a low complexity UE is does not support complexity reduction, the UE may suppress decoding search space candidates on the CORESET.
