Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for non-small data transmission (non-SDT) dedicated radio bearer (DRB) handling while in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state. A wireless device may determine, while operating in the RRC inactive state, that non-SDT data is available for transmission on a non-SDT DRB and determine, based on one or more conditions, to transmit, to a base station, non-SDT data arrival information during SDT procedure. The one or more conditions may be associated with arrival time of the non-SDT data and/or an amount of non-SDT data to be transmitted. The arrival time may be relative to arrival of SDT data, initiation of an SDT procedure, and/or initiation of a subsequent transmission period of an SDT procedure.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein facilitate cell selection and/or reselection in scenarios involving one or more Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) cells. One example embodiment is a User Equipment (UE) device comprising a processor configured to perform operations comprising: determining one or more suitable cells for one of a cell selection procedure or a cell re-selection procedure, wherein the one or more suitable cells comprise a first cell associated with a satellite of a NTN; determining a ranking for each cell of the one or more suitable cells, wherein the ranking for the first cell is based at least in part on a location of the UE, ephemeris data of the satellite, and one or more additional parameters; selecting a highest ranked cell of the one or more suitable cells based on the determined rankings for each cell of the one or more suitable cells; and camping on the highest ranked cell.

In an example, a network node requests the UE to indicate the capability it supports for the dual connectivity. This request can implicitly or explicitly indicate that the UE should report carrier grouping information. In response, this information is sent by the UE, and the network node can configure an MCG and an SCG for the UE based on the reported carrier grouping information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a UE and its serving base station to coordinate the activation and deactivation of measurement gaps for performing positioning measurements by the UE using target positioning reference signals (PRS) during bandwidth part (BWP) switching. The UE may be configured by the serving base station to have dedicated measurement gaps. The UE determines if a legacy measurement gap used for mobility measurements or a scheduled data transmission collides with the dedicated measurement gaps. If there is a collision, the UE performs the mobility measurement using the legacy measurement gap or transmits the scheduled data. If there is no collision, the UE receives the PRS to perform the positioning measurement during the dedicated measurement gaps. In one embodiment, based on the status of the active BWP and the target PRS, the UE or the base station may activate or deactivate measurement gaps for the positioning measurements.

Abstract: An approach to reduce the signaling overhead for tracking reference signal (TRS) configuration signaling to idle and inactive user equipments (UEs) operating in a wireless communication system. Conventional signaling approaches require more bits that can be conveyed in the maximum system information block (SIB) message size. One proposed approach optimizes the signaling by removing unnecessary or redundant information, using a single TRS configuration to replace multiple configurations, size reduction in some fields, and the sharing of some fields across different TRS configurations. Another proposed approach uses an SIB message to carry the TRS configurations for a particular beam or subset of beams. These two proposed approaches may be combined to provide further optimization possibilities.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments for a request and response signaling between first and second user equipment (UE) via a PC5 link for configuring inter-UE coordination. Abstract: Determining RRC processing delays for multi-subscriber identify module (MSIM) user equipments (UEs) may include decoding a capabilities message from a UE that indicates the UE is an MSIM UE that includes at least a first SIM and a second SIM. A communication for the first SIM of the UE may be encoded. The communication may be configured to cause the UE to perform a radio resource control (RRC) procedure. A transmission request received from the UE may be decoded. The transmission request may be associated with the RRC procedure. In response to receiving the transmission request, an uplink (UL) gram may be scheduled for the first SIM of the UE.
