Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to neural network based channel state information (CSI) feedback. In some aspects, a device may obtain a CSI instance for a channel, determine a neural network model including a CSI encoder and a CSI decoder, and train the neural network model based at least in part on encoding the CSI instance into encoded CSI, decoding the encoded CSI into decoded CSI, and computing and minimizing a loss function by comparing the CSI instance and the decoded CSI. The device may obtain one or more encoder weights and one or more decoder weights based at least in part on training the neural network model. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Certain aspects relate to methods and apparatus for a flexible transmission unit and acknowledgement feedback timeline for low-latency communication. As described herein, a UE may receive, within a subframe a first portion of a downlink control region scheduling at least a first data unit, wherein the subframe comprises at least two TTIs and wherein the subframe comprises the downlink control region, a data region, and an uplink control region, receive the first data unit in a first TTI of the data region, receive a second data unit in a second TTI of the data region, and separately acknowledge receipt of the first and second data units. According to aspects, the acknowledgment for the first data unit may occur in the same subframe as the transmission of the first data unit. A BS may perform corresponding operations.

Abstract: During an uplink TDD slot, an UL UE transmits an UL signal that occupies a slot frequency range. Similarly, during a DL TDD slot, a DL UE receives a DL signal that occupies the slot frequency range. But during an SBFD slot, a UL UE transmits a UL signal that occupies only a first sub-band of the slot frequency range. Similarly, a DL UE receives a DL signal during an SBFD slot that occupies only a second sub-band of the slot frequency range. The second sub-band is distinct from the first sub-band. The DL UE may thus mitigate UE-to-UE interference during an SBFD slot by filtering the DL signal to substantially block the second sub-band from being received at the DL UE.

Abstract: Aspects relate to radio link management for a first type of link that is a high reliability, low-latency communication link such as ultra-reliable, low-latency communication (URLLC). Radio link failure (RLF) of the link may be determined in a wireless device that then transmits a link recovery request (LRR) communicating the RLF and a request for link recovery to a network in a reserved resource in an uplink channel using a second type of link that does not have as high priority (e.g., not as high reliability or as low-latency) as the first type of link, such as enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB). The wireless device receives a grant of uplink resources from the network responsive to the LRR, where the uplink resources are used by the wireless device to transmit an RLF report to the network and are also of the second type of link.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for the pairing of an inter-band carrier with a time division duplex (TDD) carrier. If the paired band is a frequency division duplex (FDD) band, then base stations and mobile devices may transmit and receive additional thin control channels on FDD carriers to enable full duplex operations. If the paired band is a TDD band, then a conjugate or inverse carrier may be used such that full duplex, or a close approximation thereto, is achieved. With the introduction of a paired channel and fast control channels, rapid uplink/downlink switching may be achieved for TDD carriers efficiently and effectively. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: The transmission and reception group delay in a front end structure of a mobile device may be determined using closed loop calibration. The closed loop may be a near field radiated closed loop between pairs of antennas in an antenna array of the mobile device. The delay based on time of transmission and time of reception may be measured for a plurality of pairs of antennas, from which the transmit and receive group delay within a single path may be determined. The propagation delay of the signal between antennas may be included in the group delay calibration for increased accuracy. In another implementation, a conducted closed loop, e.g., in the transceiver or in a radio frequency switching network may be used to calibrate the group delay. Pre-characterization of the delay caused by components between the closed loop and antennas may be included in the group delay calibration for increased accuracy.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may jointly configure a user equipment (UE) with time and frequency resources for full duplex communications. For instance, the network entity may provide a time resource pattern to the UE indicating a sequence of types of time resources, and the sequence of types may include a first type configuring resources for uplink and downlink communications in a first time resource. A configuration for the first type of the first time resource may indicate a first portion of frequency resources allocated for downlink communications and a second portion of frequency resources allocated for uplink communications. Thus, the UE may receive downlink signals on the first portion of frequency resources in the first time resource, and the UE may transmit uplink signals on the second portion of frequency resources in the first time resource.
