Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a mobile device receives a timing synchronization offset parameter for a first cell of a set of cells, wherein the timing synchronization offset parameter represents a difference between a system frame number (SFN) initialization time of the first cell and an SFN initialization time of a reference cell, and processes the timing synchronization offset parameter for the first cell based on the SFN initialization time of the reference cell having changed.

Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, the time that a user equipment (UE) spends on performing positioning reference signal (PRS) measurements is reduced, by lengthening the PRS measurement period (P) and/or by reducing the PRS symbol duration (K). These modifications may be performed by the UE or by a location management server or other network node and may be made in consideration of the UE's mobility status and other environmental or operating conditions of the UE. In an aspect, a network entity may determine P and K to be used by the UE, and may indicate, to the UE, the P and the K to be used by the UE for measuring at least one PRS. The UE may then use the P and the K for measuring at least one PRS.

Abstract: Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmission for positioning can be utilized on flexible symbols. Techniques disclosed for transmitting a reference signal for positioning comprise receiving, from a serving base station, a message comprising an indication to transmit a SRS on a set of symbols of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) slot. Techniques may also comprise determining the SRS is to be used for positioning, and receiving, from the serving base station, downlink control information (DCI) having a slot format indicator (SFI) that designates a subset of the set of symbols as flexible. Techniques may also comprise transmitting the SRS on at least a portion of the subset.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration information, configuring the UE with one or more SRS resource sets, wherein each of the one or more SRS resource sets comprises one or more SRS resources; receiving signaling comprising a field indicating which of the one or more SRS resources in the one or more SRS resource sets are active and which of the one or more SRS resources in the one or more SRS resources sets are inactive; and transmitting one or more SRSs using only the one or more SRS resources that are active.

Abstract: In an aspect, a UE receives, from a network entity, a configuration of PRS or SRS-P resources for a positioning session, receives a configuration of at least one BWP from a serving BS, identifies a time-domain period for the positioning session where a set of parameters associated with the at least one BWP is to remain constant to achieve a first positioning accuracy requirement. The UE either performs positioning measurements on one or more of the PRS resources during the positioning session or transmits on one or more of the SRS-P resources during the positioning session. The UE determines an active BWP transition during the time-domain period from a first BWP to a second BWP that is associated with one or more changes to the set of parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described Techniques described may be utilized to avoid errors caused by resource allocation calculations, which may be indicated via higher layer signaling and/or determined within DCI. A base station may transmit downlink control information indicating resource allocation types to avoid errors. In other cases, the UE and/or base station may designate a particular resource block group size to avoid the potential errors. The UE and/or base station may calculate a number of resource blocks groups for a bandwidth part and allocate the size of the resource block group based on the calculation. The UE and/or base station may conduct a comparison between a bandwidth part size and a resource block group size to determine whether to designate a different resource block group size to avoid the errors. Similar techniques may be utilized in allocating resources for precoding resource block groups.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, when operating in a multiple link communication system, one or more downlink control information (DCI) messages scheduling one or more downlink communications. The user equipment may determine, based at least in part on the one or more DCI messages, whether a communication constraint is satisfied for the one or more downlink communications. The user equipment may determine a communication configuration for the one or more downlink communications based at least in part on whether the communication constraint is satisfied. The user equipment may receive, in the multiple link communication system, the one or more downlink communications based at least in part on the communication configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.
