Abstract: Techniques for grouping multiple serving component carriers (CCs) are disclosed. In one example, a frequency separation that defines a frequency range from a lower bound frequency to a higher bound frequency for each CC group of a plurality of CC groups may be determined, wherein a difference between the lower bound frequency and the higher bound frequency of each CC group may be equal to the frequency separation. A frequency of a first CC from a collection of CCs may be determined. The first CC may be assigned to a first CC group, of the plurality of CC groups, wherein the first CC group may have a frequency range that includes the frequency of the first CC.

Abstract: Peer devices may wirelessly communicate with each other over a bidirectional sidelink logical channel (LCH) through an established bidirectional sidelink radio bearer. An initiating device of the peer devices may dynamically select a logical channel ID for establishing a fully bidirectional or semi-bidirectional SLRB. At least two alternative sidelink radio resource control (PC5-RRC) procedures may ensure the SLRB parameters are configured correctly in the established logical channel. The procedures also allow the network to configure a limited SLRB which is used to couple the SLRB configuration in the direction in which limited traffic (e.g. feedback information such as robust header compression feedback and/or status reports) is transmitted.

Abstract: Embodiments of an Evolved Node-B (eNB), User Equipment (UE), and methods for flexible duplex communication are generally described herein. The eNB may transmit a downlink control information (DCI) block to the UE during a group of time-division duplex (TDD) sub-frames. The eNB may further receive an uplink control information (UCI) block from the UE during the group of TDD sub-frames. A first candidate flexible duplex format for the TDD sub-frames may include a downlink control portion and an uplink control portion. A second candidate flexible duplex format for the TDD sub-frames may include a downlink control portion and may exclude uplink control portions.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE), operable for an uplink partial subframe transmission on an unlicensed carrier is disclosed. The UE can select one or more uplink (UL) partial subframe configurations based on one or more prospective lengths of a listen before talk (LBT) period, wherein each prospective length of the LBT period provides a prospective starting time. The UE can encode data for each of the one or more UL partial subframe configurations to form one or more UL partial subframe configuration encodings. The UE can identify an actual LBT period. The UE can select one of the one or more UL partial subframe configuration encodings for UL transmission of the data on the unlicensed carrier based on the actual LBT period and a corresponding prospective starting time.

The UE may receive, from the base station, an update to one or more PUCCH resources within the group of PUCCHs via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) that may include one of a resource ID indicating an update to a PUCCH resource or the group ID to update the group of PUCCH resources. The UE may update, based on the MAC-CE, the one or more PUCCH resources within the group of PUCCHs.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to report periodic channel state information (CSI) to an eNodeB is disclosed. The UE can determine a reporting period (Npd) of a serving cell of the UE. The UE can determine a Time-Division Duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration of a primary cell of the UE. The UE can encode multiple periodic CSI reports for transmission to the eNodeB using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) on the primary cell according to the reporting period Npd.

Abstract: Technology for a UE is disclosed. The UE can identify that a resource for a PUCCH transmission with HARQ-ACK information and/or a resource for a PUCCH associated with a SR overlap in time with two resources for respective PUCCH transmissions with two CSI reports. The UE can select a resource for a PUCCH transmission with a CSI report having a higher priority from the two resources for respective PUCCH transmissions with the two CSI reports. The UE can multiplex the HARQ-ACK information and/or the SR in the selected resource for the PUCCH transmission with the CSI report having the higher priority. The UE can encode the multiplexed HARQ-ACK information and the SR and the CSI report for transmission on the selected resource for the PUCCH transmission to a NR base station. The UE can drop the CSI report and the PUCCH resource having a lower priority.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive radio resource control (RRC) signaling that configures reception of a plurality of physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) in a frame. The frame may comprise multiple slots, including one or more downlink slots and one or more uplink slots. The UE may determine a subset of the PDSCHs, such that for each of the PDSCHs of the subset, corresponding consecutive slots do not overlap the uplink slots. The UE may set a number of bits of a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook equal to a number of PDSCHs in the determined subset.
