The present invention discloses a method for performing device-to-device communication in a wireless access system supporting the device-to-device communication, and an apparatus for same. More specifically, the method comprises the steps of: a first device receiving from a base station resource allocation information for device-to-device communication with a second device; the first device transmitting to the second device an initial signal for device-to-device communication through a resource that is allocated; the first device scanning a response signal which is transmitted from the second terminal; and the first device performing the device-to-device communication with the second device when the first device receives the response signal from the second device, wherein the initial signal comprises a first reference signal for matching synchronization between the first and second devices, and a second reference signal for estimating a channel between the first device and the second device.

A method for measuring, by a terminal, the location of a terminal in a wireless network according to the present invention includes the steps of: determining based on a received signal whether the number of access points (APs) that transmit the signal is three or more; storing location information on a first AP obtained based on the received signal and distance information between the terminal and the first AP at a point receiving the signal if the number of the APs is less than three; measuring a travel distance and a travel direction according to the movement of the terminal from the point receiving the signal; obtaining, based on the signals received from a second and a third AP, location information on the second and third APs and distance information between the terminal and each of the second and third APs at the current point, if it is determined that the number of the APs that transmit signals from the current point according to the movement to the terminal is three or more; and calculating the location of the current point of the terminal based on the distance information between the terminal and each of the second and third APs at the current point, distance information between the terminal and the first AP, and the measured travel distance and the measured travel direction.

The method for active scanning in a wireless LAN may comprise the steps of: a first station (STA) transmitting a first probe request frame to an access point (AP); and a first STA receiving a probe response frame from the AP, wherein the probe response frame is a response for the probe request frame, and the first probe request frame comprises fast initial link setup (FILS) capability information which can indicate whether the first STA supports FILS.

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and a device for transmitting and receiving a traffic indication map (TIM) in a wireless LAN system. The method by which a station (STA) receives a TIM element in a wireless LAN system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving a frame that includes the TIM element from an access point (AP); and decoding a partial virtual bitmap included in the TIM element, wherein one block of the partial virtual bitmap includes one or more association identifier difference value (ΔAID) fields, and a field subsequent to the one or more ΔAID fields can indicate an end of the one block.

A scanning method and apparatus in wireless LAN is disclosed. The method comprises determining, by an access point (AP), whether to accommodate a station (STA) conducting an initial link setup and transmitting, by the AP, a frame to the STA, the frame including scanning redirection information for the STA to switch other channel, other band, or a neighbor AP when the AP determines not to accommodate the STA. The scanning redirection information includes a band field and a channel field. The band field indicating a band in which the STA conducts the initial link setup when the STA conducts the initial link setup from current band to the other band. The channel field indicating a channel in which the STA conducts the initial link setup when the STA conducts the initial link setup from current channel to the other channel.

A method and device for performing channel access in a wireless LAN are disclosed. An initial channel access method of a station STA in a wireless LAN may include: receiving, from an access point (AP) by the station STA, a frame including information on a channel state, information on a channel access protection section and information on a station STA capable of performing channel access in the channel access protection section; determining a channel access priority by a station STA when the information on the channel state indicates that a wireless link is in a congestion state; and performing initial channel access in the channel access protection section based on the channel access priority determined by the station STA and the information on the station STA capable of performing channel access in the channel access protection section.

The present invention relates to methods for efficiently performing device to device synchronization and device identification in a device to device communication system, and devices for supporting the methods. The method for supporting device to device synchronization and identification in a wireless access system that supports device to device communication according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: allowing a first device to broadcast a RACH signal for device to device synchronization in a peer discovery section; allowing the first device to receive a first response message transmitted from a second device as a response to the RACH signal; and transmitting a message including device identification information for the first device to the second device.

A method for performing inter-cell D2D communication includes: receiving a first signal which is a D2D communication request signal including information on a D2D terminal selected from D2D terminals within a cell to which a base station belongs; determining whether the selected D2D terminal is a D2D terminal within the cell using information on the selected D2D terminal; transmitting a second signal, for requesting inter-cell D2D communication to a base station belonging to a neighboring cell, if the selected D2D terminal is a D2D terminal belonging to the neighboring cell; receiving a third signal for approving the inter-cell D2D communication, from the base station cell as a response to the second signal; and transmitting, to the D2D terminal within the cell, information on a resource allocated for communication between the D2D terminal within the cell and the selected D2D terminal according to the third signal.
