摘要： A crushing machine includes a housing; a rotor rotatably supported in the housing; a plurality of impact tools secured circumferentially to the rotor; and an impact apron pivotally supported in the housing. The impact apron cooperates with the impact tools for crushing a material therebetween. A control device is connected to the impact apron for setting the impact apron at a selected distance from the impact tools to define a crushing gap. There is further provided a measuring device for measuring oscillations of the impact apron upon contact thereof with the impact tools during rotation of the rotor.

摘要： A motor driven grinding apparatus, and a system incorporating the inventive grinder, for reducing the size of waste material. The apparatus includes a housing having an interior, an exterior, an inlet for introducing material into the interior, and an exit for expelling material from the interior. The housing also includes a front wall, a back wall, a pair of spaced apart side walls, and a bottom grate. The apparatus also includes a substantially cylindrical, balanced, drum having a shaft, and a plurality of cutting blocks rotatably mounted thereto. The drum is rotated by a drive motor engageable with the shaft. An airfoil is attached to the front wall for establishing a static air curtain within the interior of the housing enabling air to be drawn into the housing through the inlet and expelled from the exit when the drum rotates. The drum and cutting block configuration are particularly useful for grinding, and sheafing, cellulose, plastics, glass, and other solid waste materials. The power ratings of the drive motors preferably range from 10 to 200 horsepower. The system includes the inventive apparatus, a series of conveyors, a shredder and at least one magnetic device to remove metallic material from the shredded material.

摘要： A needle chopper apparatus having a rotor with radially extending blades disposed in and along the longitudinal axis of a tube member. While rotating, the blades are in immediate proximity to an inner smooth cylindrical surface of the tube member. A feed chute extends into an inlet of the tube member where the blades react with the edge of the inlet to chop disposable items into particles. The particles go through an outlet in the tube member to a container that holds a disinfectant which is circulated to the feed chute and into the tube while the items are being chopped. One end of the tube is sealed by an annular plug and the other end extends from the top portion of a mounting panel. A housing is formed by an outer cabinet that is slid over an inner cabinet and coupled together by inwardly turned tabs on the outer cabinet. The mounting panel divides the housing into a front compartment and a back compartment. The mounting panel has a top portion offset in a vertical plane from a bottom portion by a horizontally extending intermediate portion such that the bottom portion defines an enlarged area in the front compartment to receive the container. A probe responsive to liquid levels extends into the container and is operatively connected to a sensor disposed in the power circuit to an electric motor. Control components and a timing means are disposed in the rear compartment with the electric motor to prevent operation of the apparatus under certain conditions.

摘要： A rotary hammerbreaker including a plurality of discs driven upon a rotor shaft, a plurality of rods extending through the discs parallel to the rotor shaft and radially spaced therefrom and a plurality of hammers pivotably mounted upon the rods between the discs. The hammerbreaker is provided with a protective device consisting of a plurality of shields each including a hub mounted upon one of the rods between adjacent discs. The shields are formed with a circular segmental flange fixed to the hub extending over a part of the periphery of each of the adjacent discs between which the hub is mounted to protect the disc periphery. The flange has a circumferentially extending portion which is an integral fraction of a whole circle so that a number of the shields can be fitted to a rotary hammerbreaker to provide substantially continuous protection around the periphery of the discs.
