摘要: This disclosure describes techniques for performing communications between devices using various aspects of Ethernet standards. As further described herein, a protocol is disclosed that may be used for communications between devices, where the communications take place over a physical connection complying with Ethernet standards. Such a protocol may enable reliable and in-order delivery of frames between devices, while following Ethernet physical layer rules, Ethernet symbol encoding, Ethernet lane alignment, and/or Ethernet frame formats.

The present disclosure relates to a method of segmenting data by a transmitting side in a mobile communication system. The method includes: determining whether a size of a RRC (radio resource control) message exceeds a maximum PDCP (packet data convergence protocol) SDU (service data unit) size; when the size of the RRC message exceeds the maximum PDCP SDU size, performing a segmentation of the RRC message into a plurality of segments in a RRC layer; and transmitting, to a base station (BS), the plurality of segments of the RRC message.

The request indicates the base station supports a protocol utilizing segmentation for reporting the capability information and the base station receives the capability information in segments, as transmitted by the wireless device.

摘要: The present disclosure provides systems and methods which increase the throughput of a TCP-based communication between a first network node and a second network node. First, the first network node sent a first plurality of TCP segments to the second network node. Second, when the second network node receives a second plurality of TCP segments, which is all or part of the first plurality of the TCP segments, the second network node responds by sending one or more TCP acknowledgements to the first network node with the last sequence number of a last segment among all TCP segment within the second plurality of TCP segments. The present disclosure are able to increase the throughput of a TCP connection while decreasing its reliability.

摘要: A packet is transmitted from a remote device over a communication network. A fragment detector detects one or more fragments in a field of the packet, where the field is associated with a session layer or higher abstraction layer of an open systems interconnect (OSI) model. Fragment information is extracted from the packet which indicates one or more of a last fragment index associated with a last fragment of one or more fragment in the packet and a fragment count indicative of a number of fragments associated with a message which is fragmented. Interrupts associated with the packet with other interrupts associated with other packets are coalesced based on one or more of the last fragment index and the fragment count.

摘要: In some embodiments, a method determines when a packet is fragmented into multiple fragmented packets in a flow between a first workload and a second workload. The method switches from generating an outer source port in the outer header using layer 4 information from the inner header to using layer 3 information from the inner header. A fragmented packet is encapsulated with the outer header that includes an outer source port value that is generated using the layer 3 information. The method initiates a process to determine when to switch back to using layer 4 information from the inner header to generate the outer source port. When it is determined to switch back to using layer 4 information, the method switches back to using layer 4 information from the inner header to generate the source port in the outer header of a packet from the first workload.

摘要: A computing device may include a memory and a processor cooperating with the memory to access a session hosted by a remote computing device, and classify a group of data packets into first and second data packets. The first data packets may define reference points for reassembly of the group of data packets with the second data packets at their original positions in the group of data packets. The processor may further send the first and second data packets to the remote computing device via different channels with different rates of packet loss to enable reconstruction of the group of data packets at another device.
