Abstract: A bolt action rifle having a receiver; a bolt in slidable communication within said receiver, having an elongated body and a bolt head at a first end, and an exposed bolt face with a primer recess cavity having a base with a forward-facing surface, the base having an aperture therein, where the aperture is circumscribed by the forward-facing surface for receiving a propellant charge having an extended primer cap, and a firing pin within the bolt and movable between a disengaged position wherein a firing pin head is receded within the aperture and an engaged position wherein the firing pin head extends beyond the forward-facing surface into the primer recess cavity.

Abstract: The invention relates to a magazine for a firearm. The magazine comprises a hollow housing for retaining a plurality of cartridges and a follower arranged inside the hollow housing. The hollow housing has a first side wall, a second side wall opposing the first side wall and a feed opening for feeding the cartridges into the firearm. The first side wall has an outer first side wall surface and an inner first side wall surface and the second side wall has an outer second side wall surface and an inner second side wall surface such that an interior space of the hollow housing is provided between the inner first side wall surface and the inner second side wall surface. The magazine further comprises a stopping member for preventing the follower from escaping out from the hollow housing. The stopping member is arranged to protrude from the inner first side wall surface toward the interior space of the hollow housing.

Abstract: A break open rifle and bolt action rifle having a barrel extension with a breech end for receiving a propellant charge, a muzzle end with an extended attachment structure for receiving a complementary attachment structure of a barrel, and a chamber disposed within and through the barrel extension having a first diameter at a first end and a narrowing portion adjacent a second end opposite the first end, the narrowing portion having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter, wherein the first diameter of the chamber is sized to receive the propellant charge therein, and the second diameter of the narrowing portion is sized to prevent the propellant charge from being further inserted past the narrowing portion, and to prevent a projectile from being inserted through the chamber from the barrel muzzle end. A bolt action configuration having dual diameter non-rotating bolt with an extractor and ejector mechanism for removing a propellant charge.

Abstract: The light-weight handheld less-lethal ballistic projectile launcher is configured as an “over/under” double barrel handheld device with a “break open” loading action. The launcher includes a barrel section pivotally connected to receiver section. The barrel section pivots between an open load/unload position and a closed firing position. The barrel section includes two metal barrel sleeves that are press fit into axial bores formed in the body of the barrel section. The barrel section also includes an ejector, which locks the barrel section in the closed firing position and partially expels spent rounds from the barrel sleeves when the barrel section is opened. The receiver section houses the launcher's fire control mechanism. The fire control mechanism uses a traditional single action operation and ensures that rounds are alternatively discharged from each barrel and prevents rounds from both barrels from being discharged simultaneously.

Abstract: An improved door assembly for a delinking feeder of a minigun includes an access door mounted to a delinking feeder housing and movable between a closed position and an open position. The access door has an enclosed recess for receiving a tongue that is rotationally coupled to the access door and is movable between a retracted position and a deployed position. When the access door is in the open position, the tongue is in the deployed position and a tongue first contact surface can contact and secure a linked cartridge positioned in the delinking feeder. When the access door is in the closed position, the tongue is in the retracted position and a tongue second contact surface can contact and guide a cartridge positioned in the delinking feeder.

Abstract: An active protection system (10) is disclosed as having a launch tube (12) with a round inner bore (44) that tapers from an open muzzle end (42) thereof toward a closed rear end (40) to facilitate loading of a cartridge (26) and to permit ejection thereof after firing. The cartridge (26) utilized has a metal case (28) that provides a liner for the launch tube and includes a sabot (116) for lauching at least one projectile (120, 122) upon ignition of a propellant (114) by an ignitor (126). Abstract: In a bolt actuated firearm having a cartridge receiver station communicat linearly with a firing chamber, magnetic means in the receiver station which cooperate with the cartridge magazine or belt to first positively move each cartridge from the magazine or belt into the receiver station and then to releasably hold the cartridge in the station for in line movement into the firing chamber under the influence of the bolt, the magnetic means also guiding axial linear movement of the bolt to its firing chamber position and sequentially thereafter releasably holding the bolt thereby to prevent bounce of the bolt and cartridge until firing of the cartridge.
