    Abstract: A crankshaft and conrod assembly (100) comprising a crankshaft (110) and a conrod (150), wherein the crankshaft (110) comprises at least one main journal (111) and one crankpin journal (112), where the crankshaft (110) is provided with an oil supply structure for supplying the crankpin journal (112) with lubrication oil and the conrod (150) with an oil pressure, wherein the oil supply structure comprises: an oil supply conduit (113) provided between the main journal and the crankpin journal (112), at least a first and a second oil supply opening (114, 115) provided at the crankpin journal (112), and a connection point (116) where the oil supply conduit (113) connects to the first and second oil supply opening (114, 115).

    Abstract: Intake and exhaust cam shafts are disposed a cylinder head in a vertical direction. The cylinder head comprises a first through hole and a second through hole. The first through hole penetrates an upper surface deck from a deck surface towards a lower surface of the cylinder head. The deck surface is a surface constituting an upper surface deck of the cylinder head. The second through hole opens to a side surface of the cylinder head in which cam pulleys of intake and exhaust cam shafts are provided. The second through hole penetrates the upper surface deck along an axial direction of the intake and exhaust cam shafts. The second through hole is positioned vertically below an opening in the deck surface of the first through hole.

    Abstract: Disclosed is lubrication for a slow-running two-stroke engine, especially marine diesel engines. The lubrication uses Swirl Injection Principle by locating the lubricant injectors closer to the TDC than ⅕ of the full stroke of the piston, which is closer than in typical marine diesel engines. This can be achieved by reconstructing cylinder liners or by adding new mounting holes to the cylinder. In case that such reconstruction is not possible, an improvement of SIP principles can also be achieved by directing the spray towards the TDC or to a location on the cylinder liner closer to the TDC as compared to the location of the SIP valves, for example under an angle of more than 30 degrees or even more than 60 degrees when measured from a plane normal to the cylinder axis.

    Abstract: This oil return structure is provided with a flow passage body configured to return oil into an engine body which communicates with an oil storage section of the engine, the oil having been separated from a blow-by gas by an oil separation means.
