    摘要: A bidirectional shield system for a roll-up shutter door of an externally accessible vehicle compartment comprises a longitudinally extending shield element and two mounting blocks. The shield element comprises a tray having an open-topped drip catchment reservoir and laterally inwardly projecting locking ears at each end of the shield element. Each mounting block can be fixed to a sidewall of the compartment, has at least one overhanging upper trap projection and carries a pair of latches disposed inferiorly of and spaced from the trap projection. The latches are movable between retracted and extended configurations. With the latches in the extended configuration, the locking ears are trapped between the latches and the trap projections to fix the shield element within the compartment. When the latches are in the retracted configuration, the shield element can move away from the trap projections for removal of the shield element from the compartment.

The cargo vehicle includes a cargo compartment, which in turn is defined by a floor, a plurality of adjoining walls extending upwardly from the floor, and a ceiling attached to an upper end of the plurality of adjoining walls, wherein the walls, floor and ceiling cooperate to form the cargo compartment and a first vertical opening having a width defined by first and second sides for accessing the interior of the cargo compartment. The vehicle further includes a first segmented retractable door proximate the first vertical opening of the cargo compartment. The first door is displaceable from a first vertically-oriented closed position in which the door covers the first vertical opening to a second open position in which the door is substantially disposed below the first vertical opening.

The use of the covering panel produces a method for assembling the vehicles requiring the base panels to be precisely configured and fitted without painting or previously required disassembly. The pre-colored covering panels are merely inserted into the companion base panel thereby forming a vehicle body of a specific configuration easy to assemble and repair.

    摘要: An articulated door and door guiding track covers storage bays of a beverage body. An articulated door is formed by engaging a plurality of polymeric panel sections into a sequence such that each panel section can be positioned at varying angles with respect to an adjacent engaged panel section. The articulated door is guided between an open position and a closed position by a door guiding track comprised of a left channel facing a right channel across a door opening. The sequence of panel sections is slidably positioned in the door guiding track by having a left end of each panel section extending into the left channel and a right end of each panel section extending into the right channel. A counter-balance comprised of a spring-loaded drum having a strap with one end attached to the bottom of the door and another end attached to the center of the drum is provided to assist in raising and lowering the door. As the door is opened the strap rolls up around itself and continually applied a symmetric force to the door.

    摘要: A rail house car with at least one opening along each of its sides. The car includes a door for closing each of the openings by movement of the doors longitudinally along the car sides and laterally into and out of the openings. Bottom and top rotating crank members moveably support and retain the doors on longitudinal tracks below the doors and within longitudinal retainer means above the doors. At least some of the crank members are selectively manually driven by rotational means for selective lateral movement of the doors. The top crank members adjacent the upper portion of the doors each include a bore. A forged pin is telescopingly received in each of a plurality of pipes rotationally mounted on the door. Each pin has a shank portion and an upper headed or flanged portion. Each crank member's bore is counterbored to receive the headed portion of a pin. Substantially the entire periphery of the shank portion is welded to its associated crank member and only a portion of the flange formed by the head of the pin is welded to the crank member counterbore. This minimizes deterioration of the strength given to the pin flange by the forging operation. Alternatively, the head can be spaced from the top of the crank member and only the shank portion welded to it. The crank mount is also for use with any auxiliary crank members which are in engagement with the longitudinal retaining means of the car. A pin or weld or both can secure the extension pin and pipe to prevent relative rotation therebetween.
