摘要： An apparatus having a frame with a work station therein and adapted for movement relative to a work object having elongated overhanging portions, a pair of rearwardly inclined elongated members mounted for rotational movement on the frame in spaced relation defining a path of travel for the work object therebetween and into the work station of the frame, and a drive mechanism adapted to rotate the members to carry the overhanging portions of the work object over the members to raise the portions along the inclined members to elevated positions during passage of the work object through the work station for the performance of a work operation in the work station.

摘要： A method and apparatus is disclosed for a fast switching digital differential amplifier system useful in regenerating information signals in charge coupled devices. The amplifier system has a first capacitance at an input point which is charged and discharged in accordance with a binary "0" or binary "1" at the input. A second capacitance and an output capacitance is provided with a predetermined charge thereon. In the event of a binary "1", the predetermined charge on the second and output capacitance is retained while the first capacitance is discharged. In the event of a binary "0", the second and output capacitances are discharged via a current sink. A flip-flop is connected to the output capacitance for accelerating the discharge of the same. Switching transistors are additionally provided for activating the flip-flop to achieve the desired fast-switching.

摘要： The invention relates to a drive for a straddle type berry harvester suitable in particular for harvesting raspberries. The harvester has a frame mounted on wheels movable over a row of berry plants and having opposed rotatable upright cylindrical tined shakers connected above by universals to output shafts of a drive and mounted above conveyors in laterally slidable bearings to avoid obstructions in their path. Spring-mounted interleaved deflector plates lie between and beneath the shakers inclined towards the conveyors to guide berries shaken off by the shakers and falling therebetween. The shakers are rotated by cooperation of the tines with the plants as the harvester moves thereover.The drive for the shakers consists of two vibrating head assemblies and a high speed input in each assembly driven in synchronization but in opposed rotary direction by a single high speed prime mover. The high speed input is transmitted to an eccentric mounted on an input shaft in each assembly, the rotation of the eccentric producing pivoting of a link pivotally mounted on a rotatable housing for the input shaft. The housings are linked for synchronized contra-rotation. The movement of each link is transmitted by a crank to an output shaft of the associated assembly as a torsional vibration. The output shafts and shakers connected thereto are allowed to rotate under the action of the plants thereon by virtue of the rotatable housing and are also shaken by the high speed torsional vibration applied by the vibrating head assemblies.In a modified drive more suitable for use with black-current harvesters, a separate prime mover which drives the harvester also provides a positive rotation of the housings and hence the shakers in contra-rotation.

摘要： In a mechanical harvesting machine having horizontal striker rods, each of which is secured at one end to a vertical oscillating shaft, the improvement whereby the rod tips which strike the vine are inclined outwardly from the rod, away from the longitudinal centerline of the machine, thereby enabling the vertical shafts to be widely spaced to increase the angle of the rods to the centerline so that the striking contact of the rods on the vines is predominantly by the inclined tips rather than by the sides of the rods. The rods are resilient and the tips are weighted so that the tips will flex in and out of the vine when the shafts are oscillated to deliver a series of localized impulses to the fruit on the vine.

摘要： An ambulatory supporting frame provided with wheels is adapted for longitudinal movement along a row of plants by a separate vehicle. A shaker means carried by the frame includes a plurality of beater elements, in the form of fingers or rods, which extend toward opposite sides of the row of plants and bear against the foliage of the plants. The finger elements are resiliently coupled to an oscillating means carried by the frame in a manner imparting a whipping motion to the fingers, and all the finger elements are oscillated simultaneously in the same direction toward and away from the row of plants. The removed crops are collected by a movable floor and pair of laterally spaced conveyors, and the movable floor elements are mounted in a manner permitting adjustment of the degree of inclination of the floor elements enabling an assembly of additional shaker elements adjacent to the lower region of the machine to remove crops which grow relatively close to the ground.
