The machine has one or more object supporting cavities which support an object to be deflashed in a vertical position. While the object is being supported, a cutting plate moves through the object supporting cavities and strikes and cuts off the flashing affixed to the object. The object remains in a vertical position.

    摘要： An apparatus and method of clamping tube-like members on a clamping support, for cutting off portions of the tube-like members are provided. Clamping forces are applied to the tubes alternately in horizontal and vertical directions in such a way that the clamping forces generated are higher than clamping forces which are applied only in a horizontal direction, without however causing permanent deformation of the tube-like members. The apparatus comprises a horizontal clamping mechanism and a vertically displaceable clamping member. A measuring device is associated with the horizontal clamping mechanism and the vertically displaceable clamping member, for measuring the geometrical deformation of the tube-like members which occurs during a clamping operation. The measuring device produces a signal to stop the clamping operation before the degree of deformation of the tube-like members reaches an inadmissible value.

    摘要： A shear comprising a lower fixed blade beam mounted within a frame, a guide carrier guided for vertical movement in the frame and an upper blade carrier rigidly attached to the guide carrier by releasable connecting means for concurrent vertical movement with the guide carrier. The blade carrier is reciprocated by drive means which lowers the blade and guide carriers to a lower position where the upper and lower blade beams are cooperatively opposed on opposite sides of a workpiece to begin a shearing operation. Inclined guide surfaces are provided on the guide and blade carriers for allowing the blade carrier to move obliquely with respect to the guide carrier upon release of the rigid attachment between the two carriers to perform a shearing operation.
