Abstract:
An image sensor mount includes a base, a pannable housing coupled to the base, a tiltable housing coupled to the pannable housing, a pan drive that rotates the pannable housing, a tilt drive that rotates the tiltable housing, and an image sensor mount coupled to the tiltable housing. A pannable housing shell and a tiltable housing shell combine to form an enclosure for one of more of the pan drive and the tilt drive.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for capturing and generating composite images. In various aspects, the invention provides apparatuses and methods for correcting position information of captured images received by position sensors based on alignment of overlapping images. Corrected position information is then taken into account when displaying the locations of captured images on a display for providing guidance to users for generating composite images.
Abstract:
A method of making a panoramic image includes capturing a first image (30) defining a first overlap region (115) capturing a second image (40), and defining a second overlap region (215). Two points (150, 151) in the first overlap region are identified and a first vector (175) overlap region connecting the two points is defined. Two points (250, 251) in the second overlap region which correspond to the two points in the first overlap region are identified and a second vector (275) the two points is defined. If points in the first vector match points in the second vector, determine if the first and second vectors are parallel. If the vectors are not parallel, rotate the second vector image until the second vector is parallel to the first vector.
Abstract:
An apparatus for displaying a thumbnail of a panoramic photo is provided. The apparatus includes a camera configured to capture a photo in a panorama photography mode, a controller configured to control a thumbnail image to be created by reducing the panoramic photo shot by the camera module by a predetermined first factor, and a display unit configured to display the thumbnail image on a screen. The controller controls the thumbnail image to be updated by further reducing the thumbnail image by a second factor to fit in a displayable screen range of the display unit if a width of the thumbnail image exceeds the displayable screen range as a shooting angle of the panoramic photo shot by the camera module increases, and controls the updated thumbnail image to be displayed on the screen.
Abstract:
A dome-shaped camera comprising: a camera body including a focus adjustment ring for manually performing focus adjustment; a base part which supports the camera body and includes a tilt mechanism which changes an angle of a tilt direction for supporting the camera body; a dome cover which covers the camera body; a mount device which mounts the dome cover on the base part so that the dome cover is rotatable about a center axis of the dome cover; and a power transmitting device which transmits a rotating force in a direction about the center axis added to the dome cover as a rotating force of a focus adjustment ring of the camera supported at any angle in the tilt direction via a power transmission member placed on a tilt axis.
Abstract:
A top cover assembly for a monitoring camera assembly that includes a mounting portion arranged for attachment to a mounting base for a monitoring camera, a dome window arranged on the mounting portion and a lining arranged at an inside of the dome window, the lining having a camera view opening adapted to a field of view of the monitoring camera and being rotatable in relation to the mounting portion, and the lining having a guiding portion arranged for engagement with a camera mounting bracket on the mounting base to position the lining in relation to the monitoring camera such that the camera view opening covers the field of view of the monitoring camera, when mounting the top cover assembly on the mounting base, thereby allowing the mounting portion to be rotated in relation to the lining into a position for attaching the mounting portion to the mounting base.

Abstract:
An imaging apparatus (100) includes an outer shell (1) having a spherical inner surface, a camera body (2) configured to be movable inside the outer shell (1) and to shoot an image of an object outside the outer shell (1) through the outer shell (1), first to third drivers (26A-26C) attached to the camera body (2) and configured to drive the camera body (2) with the first to third drivers (26A-26C) contacting an inner surface of the outer shell (1), and a cleaner (7) configured to clean up a foreign substance on the inner surface of the outer shell (1).
Abstract:
A digital camera includes an image sensor unit, a display that displays an image photographed by the image sensor unit, and a photographing guide generating unit that displays a photographing guide on the display when the image sensor unit obtains a stereo image or a panoramic image. The photographing guide generating unit displays, on the display as the photographing guide, an aiming mark that displays a fixed point positioned substantially at the center of the display and a guide mark that is a fixed point in the image photographed by the image sensor unit and has a length necessary for the stereo image or the panoramic image in a moving direction of the digital camera on a screen. Then, it is possible to provide an imaging apparatus capable of stably moving the imaging apparatus upon photographing a panoramic picture.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method that generate left-eye and right-eye composition images to display a three-dimensional image maintaining base line length to be substantially constant by connecting stripped areas cut out from plural images. An image composing unit is configured to generate a respective left-eye composition image and right-eye composition image to display respective three-dimensional images by connecting and composing left-eye image strips and right-eye image strips set in each of captured images. The image composing unit performs a setting process of the left-eye and right-eye image strips by changing an amount of offset, which is an inter-strip distance between the left-eye and right-eye image strips, in accordance with image capturing conditions to maintain a base line length corresponding to a distance between capturing positions of the left-eye and right-eye composition images to be substantially constant.
