摘要: A monitoring device for an injection molding machine whereby the state of resin sheared by a rotating screw can be easily monitored. During the period from the start to end of metering process, the rate of heat generated by a heater for heating an injection cylinder is obtained by multiplying an on/off ratio B of the heater by a coefficient K and stored in a memory location THmem(n). Also, a time elapsed from the start of the metering is obtained by adding up a processing period T and stored in a memory location Tim(n). The heat generation rates of the heater stored in memory and corresponding to the respective elapsed times are displayed in graph form. The temperature of the injection cylinder represents heat generated by the heater plus heat generated due to resin shearing. Since the heat generation rate of the heater is detected, the rate of heat generated due to resin shearing can be grasped relatively from the detected heat generation rate, making it possible to monitor the state of the resin sheared by the rotating screw. The resin shearing state can be monitored by simple processing of detecting and displaying the heat generation rate of the heater.

摘要: A method for evaluating rubber is provided which can evaluate the degree of crosslinking of a crosslinked rubber product within a short period of time without performing any specific treatment. In the above method, the amount of energy shift of the peak (such as the peak of C12p3/2 of chlorinated butyl rubber) of a constituent element of the rubber is measured by photoelectron spectroscopy, and the degree of crosslinking of the rubber is evaluated from the amount of energy shift. In addition, a method for manufacturing a rubber product is also provided which includes the steps of measuring the amount of energy shift of the peak of a constituent element of the rubber product by a photoelectron spectrometer which is installed in a manufacturing line and then feeding back measurement result to adjust heat molding conditions so as to obtain a desired degree of crosslinking.

摘要: According to a method for molding wheel caps, a base member of a thermoplastic resin is molded using a first cavity mold. Then, a film is formed on the base member by injecting a thermosetting coating material into a film forming cavity defined between a surface of the base member and a second cavity mold, such that the film forming cavity is filled with the coating material. The temperature of the second cavity mold is set to a temperature lower than the curing temperature of the thermosetting coating material at the time of injection of the thermosetting coating material into the film forming cavity.

摘要: A method of predicting the properties (e.g., mechanical and/or processing properties) of an injection-molded article is disclosed. The method makes use of a hybrid model which includes at least one neural network. In order to forecast (or predict) properties with respect to the manufacture of a plastic molded article, a hybrid model is used in the present invention, which includes: one or more neural networks NN1, NN2, NN3, NN4, . . . , NNk; and optionally one or more rigorous models R1, R2, R3, R4, . . . , which are connected to one another. The rigorous models are used to map model elements which can be described in mathematical formulae. The neural networks are used to map processes whose relationship is present only in the form of data, as it is in effect impossible to model such processes rigorously. As a result, a forecast relating to properties including the mechanical, thermal and rheological processing properties and relating to the process time of a plastic molded article is obtained.
