Abstract:
A wafer edge trim blade includes a round blade body and at least one slot formed inward from an outside edge of the round blade body. The at least one slot is configured to remove debris generated during wafer edge trimming using the wafer edge trim blade.
Abstract:
A lubrication system for a saw may include a lubricator that is mechanically linked to a traveling arm of a saw, such as an up-cut saw. Movement of the saw blade through a first path may result automatically in movement of the lubricator through a second path transverse to the first path. This coupled movement may result in a relatively consistent distance between the lubricator and the periphery of the saw blade, especially as compared with a stationary lubricator.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for cutting a material, especially with low material speed and high cutting torque. In some embodiments, the apparatus is a hand-held device for quietly cutting through an orthopedic cast with little or no generation of debris. In yet other embodiments, there is a method for automatically advancing material past a shearing surface, such that the shearing action occurs at about the same velocity as the advancement. In yet other embodiments, there is a device for cutting material between a foot and a sharp edge, with the bottom of the foot being under the sharp edge to protect the skin of the patient.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an interface between a knife and a knife holder, wherein the knife and the knife holder are designed such that the knife can be mounted on the knife holder in such a way that the knife is initially positioned on the knife holder in the axial direction, and then by rotating either the knife relative to the knife holder and/or the knife holder relative to the knife, the knife is locked on the knife holder with respect to the axial direction, wherein the knife has a single central fastening opening which is delimited by a knife edge region, and the knife holder has a fastening section for the fastening opening of the knife, which is delimited by a holder edge region.
Abstract:
A flat-sided annular blade for a blade ring saw for cutting hard materials such as tile along straight paths and curved paths in which the workpiece is moved through the central portion of the blade. In addition to the usual sintered abrasive diamond coating on the outer peripheral portion of the blade, the inner peripheral portion preferably is tapered to a curved inner edge and also is coated with an abrasive, preferably an electroplated diamond coating providing smoother sawing operation and a finishing action on the workpiece.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a pair of saw blades, including a first blade (1) and a second blade (2), which are arranged to rotate around the same rotational axis in opposite directions. Each of the blades (1, 2) has its own blade body (3, 4) and peripheral cutting elements (5, 6), wherein the blade body (3) of the first blade (1) has a front side, which is turned towards a back side of the blade body (4) of the second saw blade (2), and wherein the cutting elements (5, 6) form overhangs (9, 10) protruding from said front or back side. Said front and/or back side have/has a circumferential ridge (11), which is arranged peripherally inside of the cutting elements (5, 6) and to slide over a corresponding part or a corresponding ridge (11) on the opposite back side and/or front side, wherein the ridge/ridges (11) is/are made in one piece with the blade body (3, 4) in question and serves/serve as a spacer means to prevent the cutting elements (5, 6) with their overhangs (9, 10) to hit each other during rotation of the blades (1, 2).
Abstract:
A saw comprising a planar body includes at least one cutting edge with serrated teeth. The planar body has cutout portions displaced from the outer cutting edges that include first and second sets of secondary teeth, which are positioned along first and second arcs concentric with the outer cutting edge or edges, at first and second radial distances from the center of the saw blade.
Abstract:
A saw blade for use on a circular saw to cut drywall board is formed of thin metal and includes generally rectangular teeth formed along the perimeter of the saw blade. The saw teeth have an outer edge along a circle centered on a center of the blade and teeth edges substantially perpendicular to the outer edge. The teeth are in the plane of the saw blade. A power saw using the saw blade has a dust collection housing around a portion of the blade with an air filtration apparatus connected to the dust collection housing. A shoe of the power saw is adjustable to vary the cutting depth of the saw blade and a compressible extension of the dust collection housing is in contact with the shoe. A laser line projector is mounted on the saw and projects to a laser line target connected on an edge of the drywall board. The target disengages from the edge of the drywall board upon the saw reaching the target and the target engages the saw. A saw blade for small hand tools is also provided.
Abstract:
A saw comprising a planar body includes at least one cutting edge with serrated teeth. The planar body has cutout portions displaced from the outer cutting edges which include sets of secondary teeth which are aligned generally parallel to or in an arc concentric with the outer cutting edge or edges.
Abstract:
A cylindrical hollow blank 1 is separated longitudinally from inside an elongate block of wood by axial boring, the blank is dried and its outer and inner surfaces finished, eg by milling, turning and sanding, and a bottom piece (2, FIG. 2) and, if required, a lid (3, FIG. 2) are then added to form a container. A plurality of cylindrical blanks of different diameters may be produced from a single block. Two concentric core bits of different diameters may be used to bore a blank.
