摘要： A water inlet system for an aquarium is disclosed along with a siphon stopper and a method of attaching the system to an aquarium. The water inlet system is designed to pass through an aperture formed in a sidewall of the aquarium. A tubular member is connected to a pump which can supply water from a reservoir to the aquarium. The tubular member passes through the aperture and into the aquarium. An adapter having a spout is connected to one end of the tubular member. In addition, a siphon stopper is secured to the adapter, above the spout, and serves to break any back siphon that may develop should the water line in the aquarium drop below a predetermined point. The method includes the steps of attaching the water inlet system to the aquarium.

The outlet pipe comprises a central axis. A power source is disposed within the water-tight enclosure for powering the water pump. An adjustable nozzle comprises a nozzle outlet in fluid communication with the outlet pipe, and the adjustable nozzle is configured to be rotated about the central axis of the outlet pipe to selectively adjust a position of the nozzle outlet. In one example, water volume flow or water velocity flow expelled from the nozzle outlet can be selectively adjusted via rotational adjustment of the adjustable nozzle relative to the outlet pipe.

Each of a plurality of brushes is coupled to a distal end of an associated one of the cleaning arms relative to the lower housing.

摘要： An aquarium acclimation device and method reduce stress and shock which may occur during transition of marine livestock including fish, invertebrates, corals, etc., from a store, online, or wholesaler, to an owner's aquarium. The acclimation device includes tubing, a squeeze bulb, a drip counter, and a rolling clamp. A “J” tube is hung over an edge of the aquarium with one end reaching into water in the aquarium and an opposite end hanging outside the aquarium. The squeeze bulb is connected to the outside end of the “J” tube for initiation of a flow of the aquarium water from the aquarium and a clear squeeze bulb may further provide the drip counter. The rolling clamp and drip counter allow a gradual, observable, and controlled flow for a gradual controlled transition to the aquarium environment.
