Abstract:
A method for receiving a media data is provided. The method includes receiving, by a client from a server, a media presentation description (MPD) including segment information; and receiving media data based on the MPD, wherein the media data comprises a segment, wherein the segment includes a fragment, and wherein the fragment includes a subfregment, wherein the segment information indicates a location of the media data, and wherein the segment information comprises segment index information indicating a corresponding byte range related one fragment, and fragment index information for accessing different levels of a plurality of subfragments.
Abstract:
A method of configuring a markup for composition of multimedia elements in a multimedia communication system is provided. The method includes configuring area description information corresponding to each of a plurality of areas included in a scene, configuring multimedia description information corresponding to at least one multimedia included in each of the plurality of areas, configuring scene composition information describing spatial composition and temporal composition of each of the plurality of areas, and configuring a markup including the scene composition information, the area description information, and the multimedia description information.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for controlling media delivery in a multimedia transport network. The method includes transmitting composition information (CI) on media assets within a media package to be transmitted, to a user equipment (UE), packetizing the media assets of the media package to packets, transmitting some of the packets to the UE, receiving a feedback message including information on an available bitrate determined by the UE from the UE while the some of the packets are transmitted, selecting media data, which can be transmitted according to the available bitrate, from the media package by using asset delivery characteristics (ADCs) of the media assets within the media package, and packetizing the selected media data to packets and transmitting the packets to the UE.
Abstract:
A method for supplying an N-screen service by a main N-screen device in a broadcast system is provided. The method includes receiving an Application Information Table (AIT) including a screen_type indicating a type of N-screen device in which a broadcast service application will be run from a broadcast service provider, and one of running the broadcast service application based on the screen_type, performing an operation related to running the broadcast service application by considering a connection relationship between the main N-screen device and a sub N-screen device based on the screen_type, and discarding the AIT based on the screen_type.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling a Remote User Interface Server (RUIS) in a Remote User Interface Client (RUIC), wherein the method includes rendering an RUI page for controlling RUISs, receiving an input of a control command for controlling the RUISs from a user through the RUI page, generating a multicast control message for transmitting the input control command in a form of multicast, and transmitting the multicast control message to the RUISs.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus are provided for generating a stereoscopic file. The apparatus includes a memory configured to store a stereoscopic file, the stereoscopic file including an svmi box for stereoscopic video media information, the svmi box including a first value indicating a stereoscopic composition type, and an scdi box for stereoscopic camera and display information, the svmi box including a second value associated with two cameras of a stereoscopic camera; a reproduction device configured to parse the svmi box and the scdi box to reproduce the stereoscopic file; and a display device configured to display the reproduced stereoscopic file.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for updating a User Interface (UI) in a Remote UI (RUI) client are described. Upon detecting a change in its capability, the RUI client stores a UI state of a UI page and requests a RUI server to update the UI page according to the changed capability. The RUI client receives a UI page updated according to the changed capability from the RUI server, where the stored UI state is reflected in the updated UI page, and the RUI client renders the UI state-reflected updated UI page.
Abstract:
A server for transmitting and receiving messages for a Signaling (S) layer in a Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) Media Transport (MMT) is provided. The server includes a first sub-layer of the S layer for producing first messages to provide information used for the use of MPEG, a second sub-layer of the S layer for producing second messages to provide information used for delivering MPEG media, and a Delivery (D) layer for making external and internal deliveries of the first and the second messages, wherein each of the first and the second messages includes at least one field corresponding to each of the message type, version, length, extension field and payload.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for transmitting a file in a server. A file is generated for an adaptive stream service. The file is transmitted. The file includes range information for indicating a byte range of a segment.
Abstract:
A method for providing a notification message in a transmitter of a mobile broadcast system supporting an interaction channel is disclosed. Upon an occurrence of a notification event, a first means generates a notification message, and generates at least one delivery request message including a target address based on subscription information of the corresponding terminal, using the generated notification message. A second means determines a channel over which it will deliver a notification message to the corresponding terminal based on the target address, and delivers the notification message over the determined channel.
