    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method of configuring a reference signal to manage backhaul (BH) links in an integrated access and BH (IAB) is provided. The method includes providing channel measurement and reporting information, and using the channel measurement and reporting information to discover and maintain backup BH links.

A method of controlling a network comprising a transmission/reception point (TRP) 10 and a user equipment (UE) 20 is provided. Channel measurements related to a first antenna port 13A and a second antenna port 13B are performed by the UE 20. A quasi co-location (QCL) of the first antenna port 13A and the second antenna port 13B is determined, based at least in part on the channel measurements.     Abstract: A method of operating an Integrated Access Backhaul, IAB, node in a wireless communication network is provided. The IAB node is arranged to communicate backhaul traffic wirelessly with a parent node and a child node.     Abstract: A method, for a base station, for transmitting Position Reference Signals (PRS) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises mapping PRS to Resource Elements (REs) of a frame structure, and transmitting the frame structure such that the power used to transmit REs containing PRS is higher than the power used to transmit REs not containing PRS. Methods, for a User Equipment (UE), for transmitting PRS in a wireless communication system are also provided. One method comprises measuring the signal strength from one or more base stations, and transmitting PRS with a power determined based on the measurements. Another method comprises receiving signaling from a base station, and transmitting PRS with a power determined based on the signaling.
