    Abstract: A display device includes: a data driver for supplying a data signal to output lines; a demultiplexer connected to each of the output lines, the demultiplexer to supply the data signal supplied to each output line to a first data line and a second data line; first pixels disposed in a (2j−1)-th column and a (2k−1)-th row, the first pixels being connected to the first data line, wherein j and k are positive integers; second pixels disposed in the (2j−1)-th column and a (2k)-th row, the second pixels being connected to the second data line; third pixels disposed in a (2j)-th column and the (2k−1)-th row, the third pixels being connected to the first data line; and fourth pixels disposed in the (2j)-th column and the (2k)-th row, the fourth pixels being connected to the second data line.

    Abstract: A display device according to an embodiment of the disclosure includes a timing controller, a scan driver including a plurality of stages connected to a plurality of clock signal lines and generating a plurality of scan signals in response to the scan start signal, a data driver configured to generate a plurality of data signals based on the image data, and a pixel portion including a plurality of pixels. One stage in the scan driver transmits a carry signal to 2n-th next stage. The timing controller selects any one of a normal frequency and low frequencies lower than the normal frequency as a driving frequency based on the input image data, and adjusts a clock duty of the plurality of clock signals so that a time required to output all of the plurality of scan signals during one frame is constant irrespective of the driving frequency.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a data driver which provides data signals to the plurality of pixels, and a controller which controls the data driver. The controller writes frame data to a frame memory, reads the frame data in each of a plurality of frame periods, performs in a first frame period of the plurality of frame periods a still image detection operation that determines whether the frame data represent a still image, and does not performs the still image detection operation in a second frame period of the plurality of frame periods subsequent to the first frame period.

    Abstract: A method of driving a pixel including: during a first period of a first frame, applying a first scan signal having a turn-on level to the first scan line, applying a data voltage to a data line, and applying a second scan signal having the turn-on level to the second scan line; and during a second period of a second frame, applying the first scan signal having the turn-on level to the first scan line, applying a bias voltage to the data line, and applying the second scan signal having a turn-off level to the second scan line, the second frame is a frame subsequent to the first frame, the second period is longer than the first period, and a light-emitting diode emits light at luminance based on the data voltage during at least a portion of the first frame and at least a portion of the second frame.

    Abstract: Provided is a display device comprising a pixel unit including first pixel rows connected to first scan lines and second pixel rows alternating with the first pixel rows and connected to second scan lines, a scan driver including first scan stages connected to the first scan lines and second scan stages connected to the second scan lines, and an emission driver including emission stages in which each of emission lines is connected to two or more pixel rows. Accordingly, the display device is capable of changing a display frequency and maintaining the same cycle in which luminance decreases when the display frequency is changed.
