    Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for detecting information that indicates that a user will be traveling from a first geographic location to a second geographic location, and responsively accessing a playlist indicated by a profile of the user that indicates a plurality of streaming media that the user intends to consume. Control circuitry may then compare data corresponding to each streaming media of the plurality of streaming media to a database to determine whether each streaming media of the plurality of streaming media is accessible to the user at the second geographic location, and may determine that a subset of the plurality of media is not accessible to the user at the second geographic location. In response to determining that the subset is not accessible to the user at the second geographic location, the control circuitry may download each media of the subset.

    Abstract: Systems and methods to address shortcomings in conventional systems that traditionally provide interactive television services. In some aspects, the systems and methods provide for a method for managing an interactive session in an interactive media guidance application. The interactive media guidance application receives a user selection of a media asset. The interactive media guidance application stores, in a buffer, an advertisement received during display of the media asset. The interactive media guidance application receives a user request to initiate an interactive session. The interactive media guidance application analyzes the buffer for information relating to the advertisement based on the user request to initiate the interactive session. The interactive media guidance application receives a user request for information in the interactive session. The interactive media guidance application generates for display the information relating to the advertisement based on the user request for information relating to the advertisement.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for enabling a plurality of users in a closed environment, such as an environment where users cannot access or have limited access to the Internet, to share media while retaining ownership rights to their media, and while ensuring that processing power of their devices is not unduly burdened by the sharing. For example, users may be able to establish a group, and may be able to transfer media amongst one another. The system described herein may recommend content using not only what is stored on the user's device, but also content stored on devices of other users of the established group. Access controls may be implemented to ensure that the media is returned to its rightful owner at the end of a viewing, and to ensure that a user's viewing plans are not interrupted by the desires of another user.
