    Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) determines a downlink/uplink (DL/UL) switching capability of the UE, and reports the DL/UL switching capability to a network. The DL/UL switching capability may indicate a quantity of DL/UL switch points, N, supported by the UE, and a time duration to which the quantity of DL/UL switch points is applied. The DL/UL switching capability may indicate a minimum link duration for which the UE should maintain a link direction after a previous DL/UL switch operation and before a next DL/UL switch operation. The DL/UL switching capability may include a DL/UL switching delay indicating a time specified for the UE to complete a DL/UL switching operation. The DL/UL switching capability may be based on a reference subcarrier spacing (SCS).

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication, by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a jointly trained artificial neural network. The method also includes calculating a value representing at least one of (1) a gradient estimate for a weight of the jointly trained artificial neural network, or (2) the weight of the jointly trained artificial neural network. The method further includes expanding the value into a numerical system with base N into a plurality of digits. The method also includes determining a number and/or a location of the plurality of digits to transmit based on a deterministic task assignment rule received from the base station or a probabilistic task assignment rule. The method further includes transmitting the determined number and/or the determined location of the plurality of digits to the base station.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for selecting a beam to be allocated for transmitting downlink (DL) data to user equipment (UE). In some implementations, a UE receives a reference signal on each of a number of beams associated with a base station, and determines a delay spread value for each beam. The UE identifies each beam for which the determined channel delay spread value is less than a threshold value, and determines a reference signal received power (RSRP) level for each identified beam. The UE transmits an indication of the determined RSRP levels of the identified beams to the base station, and receives, in response to the transmitted indication, a selection of the beam to be allocated for DL transmissions to the UE.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a mapping between a plurality of sets of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes and a corresponding plurality of HARQ process types. The UE may configure one or more HARQ processes of the UE based at least in part on the indication.     Abstract: Access terminals are provisioned to conduct intra-frequency, inter-frequency, and inter-RAT measurements and report physical layer identifiers of detected cells. The provisioning may involve cycling through all or a portion of a defined superset of physical layer identifier one subset at a time. In addition, the physical layer identifiers may be prioritized to improve the search procedure. Measurement report messages (including physical layer identifiers of the detected cells) are received at an access point as a result of the provisioning. A neighbor cell list for the femtocell is maintained based on the received measurement report messages and, optionally, other information. This other information may related to, for example, one or more of: physical layer identifier information received from access terminals that register with the access point, physical layer identifier information received via network listen operations, information regarding co-located cells, or physical layer identifier information received from a network entity.
