Abstract:
Disclosed are techniques for receive beam selection for measuring a reference radio frequency (RF) signal. In an aspect, a first node determines a type of measurement to be performed on the reference RF signal, selects a receive beam based on the type of measurement to be performed on the reference RF signal, generates the selected receive beam, receives, from a second node, using the generated receive beam, the reference RF signal transmitted on a wireless channel, and performs one or more measurements on the received reference RF signal according to the type of the measurement to be performed.
Abstract:
A two stage scrambling design is provided for generating and decoding Resource Spread Multiple Access (RSMA) modulated streams. A User equipment (UE) scrambles each data stream of a set of data streams using a first scrambling sequence to generate a first set of scrambled data streams, and then scrambles the first set of scrambled data streams using a second scrambling sequence to generate a second set of scrambled data streams, wherein the second scrambling sequence is longer than the first scrambling sequence. The UE then transmits the second set of scrambled data streams. A receiving base station determines the first and second scrambling sequences used by the UE and decodes the transmissions received from the UE based on the determined scrambling sequences.
Abstract:
A method or apparatus for wireless communication at a scheduling entity communicating with a plurality of devices over a plurality of links in a shared spectrum in a way to avoid undue interference among the plurality of links. The apparatus receives a set of priority indicators, each priority indicator corresponding to time varying priorities for communicating over the plurality of links. The apparatus assigns each of the plurality of links a subset of the set of priority indicators. Each priority indicator maps to a time varying priority level for the communication during each of a plurality of frames. The apparatus may also receive an indication of a mapping function for determining the corresponding priority level for each priority indicator according to a frame number. Links assigned disjoint priority indicators may have TDM transmissions, whereas links having an overlapping priority indicator may have simultaneous transmissions.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates in some aspects to techniques for improved channel estimation. For example, a device can specify a pilot structure where pilot density differs over time. As another example, a device can indicate that a pilot from a prior transmission time interval (TTI) can be used for channel estimation. As another example, a device can employ frequency domain physical resource block (PRB) bundling with the bundling information signaling. As yet another example, a device can use an adjustable traffic-to-pilot ratio (TPR) for throughput optimization. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also discussed and claimed.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus and techniques for wireless communication. A node (e.g., a BS or UE) may receive information regarding a configuration of at least one subframe for measuring mixed interference between the node and one or more nodes in a network. The configuration specifies a pattern for measuring reference signals by the node within the at least one subframe. The node may measure reference signals according to the pattern, and determine interference between the node and the one or more nodes, based on the measured reference signals.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for distributed scheduling to control interference for small data transactions using grant-less transmissions. A method for wireless communications by wireless node is provided. The method generally includes receiving, from a base station, a list of supported modulation and coding schemes (MCS) and at least one parameter to control interference, determining a data rate and duration for a grant-less transmission based on the list of supported MCS and the at least one parameter, selecting access resources to use for the grant-less transmission from a common pool of resources configured to be shared by a plurality of wireless nodes for grant-less transmissions, and transmitting the grant-less transmission using the selected access resources, at the determined data rate and for the determined duration.
Abstract:
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a second base station. The second base station receives a measurement report and a cell identifier, associated with a first base station, from a UE. The second base station determines, based on the cell identifier, that the first base station is in a dormant state. The second base station sends an activation request to the first base station, based on the measurement report, to prompt the first base station to transition from the dormant state to an active state. The second base station further includes handing off the UE to the first base station.
Abstract:
Techniques for transmitting data with persistent interference mitigation in a wireless communication system are described. A station (e.g., a base station or a terminal) may observe high interference and may send a request to reduce interference to interfering stations. The request may be valid for a time period covering multiple response periods. Each interfering station may grant or dismiss the request in each response period, may dismiss the request by transmitting at full power, and may grant the request by transmitting at lower than full power. The station may receive a response from each interfering station indicating grant or dismissal of the request by that interfering station in each response period. The station may estimate SINR based on the response received from each interfering station and may exchange data with another station based on the estimated SINR. Persistent interference mitigation may reduce signaling overhead and improve resource utilization and performance.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for multi-carrier transmissions over adjacent channels that reduce self-jamming due to asymmetric interference. In an aspect, a large bandwidth load-base equipment (LBE) carrier may be provided such that CCA is performed jointly over the entire bandwidth. In another aspect, additional CCA timeslots may be used to synchronize the two carriers. In a further aspect, an extended CCA may be performed on a primary unlicensed carrier while a simple CCA may be performed on a secondary unlicensed carrier. In yet another aspect, LBE may be deployed on some carriers while frame-base equipment (FBE) may be deployed on other carriers.
