Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may allow a base station and user equipment (UE) to use uplink transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. An example method generally includes providing, to a network entity, signaling indicating the UE supports uplink Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states indicating one or more quasi co-location (QCL) types for one or more reference signals (RS) to be applied to an uplink transmission, receiving UL TCI after sending the indication, and sending the uplink transmission in accordance with the uplink TCI.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to a user equipment (UE) configured for detecting phase coherence failure in coherent joint transmissions (CJTs) from multiple wireless nodes (e.g., transmission/reception points (TRPs) and/or base stations). In some examples, the UE is configured to obtain signaling from a plurality of wireless nodes, the signaling including a first signal from a first wireless node of the plurality of wireless nodes and a second signal from a second wireless node of the plurality of wireless nodes. The UE is also configured to estimate a phase difference between the first signal and the second signal. In some examples, the UE is configured to output, for transmission to at least one of the first wireless node or the second wireless node, an indication of the estimated phase difference.

A user equipment (UE) may determine, during a multi-slot downlink transmission, that a mapping from a transmission configuration information (TCI) state index to a first TCJ state configuration has changed to a second TCJ state configuration. The UE may select, based at least in part on the determined change, the first TCJ state configuration or the second TCJ state configuration to use for at least a portion of the multi-slot downlink transmission. Abstract: In multi-beam communication, the UE may assist in the scheduling of beams utilized during the multi-beam communication by improving the manner in which the quality of the beam is reported to the network. The apparatus may measure a signal received from a base station on at least one beam. The apparatus may detect a triggering event for providing CSI for the at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an uplink transmission comprising a CSI report in response to detecting the triggering event. The apparatus may receive an uplink request from a UE for providing CSI for at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an indication scheduling a CSI report in response to the uplink request. The apparatus may receive an uplink transmission from the UE comprising the CSI report for the at least one beam.
