Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable an entity that is receiving (or reading) reflected/backscattered signals from an IoT device to differentiate the reflected/backscattered signals from other reflections (e.g., noise or signals bounced from other objects). In one aspect, a wireless device transmits an indication of a positioning session to an IoT device, wherein the indication initiates the positioning session for the IoT device. The wireless device transmits, based on the positioning session, a set of PRSs to the IoT device via a plurality of transmission occasions. The wireless device receives, from the IoT device based on a reflection pattern, at least one PRS in the set of PRSs via at least one reception occasion.

The UE may receive, from the network node, a plurality of reference signals during a period of time, the plurality of reference signals being quasi-co-located with each other. The UE may obtain weighted averaged L1 RSRP measurements associated with the plurality of reference signals based at least in part on the configuration, the weighted averaged L1 RSRP measurements being available as input to a machine learning (ML) model for beam prediction. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a first device may determine a state change based on a condition associated with communications between the first device and a second device and perform an adjustment for one or more sets of antenna elements of the first device based on the state change. A state change may, for example, include a change of an antenna configuration or a quasi co-location (QCL) configuration of the respective device. Based on determining the state change, the first device may transmit a state change request to the second device. According to the state change request, the second device may perform an adjustment for a set of one or more of its antenna elements. The second device may transmit an indication of an adjustment to the first device, and the first device and the second device may communicate according to the adjustment.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, a configuration of a beam prediction model that is trained to predict beam measurements for a set of beams. The UE may receive, from the network node, an indication of a subset of beams, from the set of beams, that are to be associated with a measurement report. The UE may transmit, to the network node, the measurement report indicating one or more predicted beam measurements that are based at least in part on an output of the beam prediction model, the output of the beam prediction model including beam predictions associated with the set of beams, and the one or more predicted beam measurements including information associated with the subset of beams. A first UE may transmit control signaling to reserve a first set of time and frequency resources for a sidelink transmission. In some examples, the control signaling may indicate one or more parameters to be used by a second UE to identify a second set of time and frequency resources for performing a full-duplex communication with the first UE. In some examples, the first UE may then communicate with the second UE based on the reserved first set of time and frequency resources and the indicated one or more parameters associated with the second set of time and frequency resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. During an operation for discovering reconfigurable surfaces, a sensing signal may be transmitted. Based on the sensing signal being transmitted, another signal may be detected at the device that transmitted the sensing signal, another device, or both. The device that detects the signal may combine the detected signal with a modulation sequence that is associated with a reconfigurable surface, where the reconfigurable surface may be assigned a set of unique modulation sequences and configured to apply a modulation sequence to received signals. Based on combining the detected signal with the modulation sequence, the device may determine whether the reconfigurable surface is present within a geographic region.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication over a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE. The first UE may receive, from a base station, a sidelink resource configuration indicating physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH)/physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) occasions on which to monitor a PSCCH for a grant from a second UE. The first UE may determine an active time for monitoring the PSCCH based on a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode for a link with the base station, the DRX mode including an active state in which a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is monitored and an inactive state in which the PDCCH is not monitored. The first UE may monitor the PSCCH during one or more of the PSCCH/PSSCH occasions that coincide with the active time.
