    Abstract: Various aspects of the present invention generally disclose wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration of a first resource pool associated with a first component carrier and a second resource pool associated with a second component carrier. The UE may transmit an indication of a resource reservation associated with a sidelink communication, wherein the resource reservation indicates a first set of resources associated with the first resource pool and a second set of resources associated with the second resource pool, and wherein the indication of the resource reservation is transmitted in at least one of a first control channel associated with the first component carrier or a second control channel associated with the second component carrier.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for method for wireless communication are described. A serving network entity may receive, from a user equipment (UE) and via an access link, a distance-based sidelink message including an indication of a region of interest around the UE. In some examples, the distance-based sidelink message may be for relay of the distance-based sidelink message to one or more UEs within the region of interest. The serving network entity may select one or more target network entities that provide service to at least a portion of the region of interest around the UE. The serving network entity may then transmit, via a backhaul link, the distance-based sidelink message to the one or more target network entities for relay of the distance-based sidelink message to one or more UEs within the region of interest.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a configuration identifying a pattern where a network entity cycles between a first network operation state and a second network operation state, where the second network operation state may be associated with lower power consumption than the first network operation state. Based on the control signaling, the UE may switch from a first sidelink mode of operation to a second sidelink mode of operation, where sidelink communication of the UE is scheduled by the network entity for the first sidelink mode of operation and the sidelink communication of the UE is scheduled by the UE or a second UE for the second sidelink mode of operation. In response to switching, the UE may communicate, while operating in the second sidelink mode of operation, one or more sidelink messages with the second UE.

A base station may receive, from a first user equipment (UE), an uplink message that includes one or more sidelink communication identifications each associated with a different UE of a set of one or more UEs. The base station may transmit one or more signals for transitioning each of the set of one or more UEs associated with the set of second identifications from an inactive mode to an active mode based on associating each of the set of one or more sidelink communication identifications with the second identification of the set of second identifications. A second UE may receive the one or more signals that trigger the transition and may communicate with the first UE based on receiving the wake-up signal.
