Abstract:
A tire for a motorized two-wheeled vehicle comprising a reinforcing structure of the carcass type, made up of reinforcing elements, anchored on each side of the tire to a bead the base of which is intended to be mounted on a rim seat, each bead being extended radially outwards by a sidewall, the sidewalls radially towards the outside joining to a tread comprising incisions. The length of the incisions is less than 1.2 times the width of the area of the contact patch and at least one incision has at least one end which ends in a cut in the tread the width of which is greater than 2.5 mm and the length of which is between 2.5 and 10 mm.
Abstract:
A tire for a motorized two-wheeled vehicle comprising a reinforcing structure of the carcass type, anchored on each side of the tire to a bead, each bead being extended radially outwards by a sidewall, the sidewalls radially towards the outside joining to a tread. At least the surface of the tread includes a first polymer compound extending over at least part of the central part and of at least one second polymer compound having physico-chemical properties different from those of the first polymer compound and covering at least part of the axially external parts of the tread, at least the central part of the tread comprises at least one incision, in the central part of the tread consisting of includes the first polymer compound, in a circumferential plane, at least part of one wall of the at least one incision is formed of at least two straight lines, each of the straight lines making with the radial direction an angle of between 5 and 65° and the directions of the straight lines making an angle of between 30 and 120° between them.
Abstract:
Method of applying a layer of material (25, 26) to the inner wall of a cycle tyre (20) in the form of a torus, with an inner wall (28) and an outer wall (29) and having a crown (22) extended by two sidewalls (21), two beads (23a, 23b) and two bead wires (30a, 30b) placed in said beads, said tyre having a given nominal inflation pressure, which comprises the following steps: the tyre (20) is turned inside-out so as to bring the inner wall (28) to the outside of the torus and the outer wall (29) to the inside of the torus; the outer torus wall (29) of the tyre is extended by applying an internal inflation pressure to said outer wall (29) above the nominal inflation pressure of said tyre; the layer of material (25, 26) is applied to the inner wall (28) of the tyre (20); and the tyre (20) is turned inside-out so as to bring the inner wall (28) and the outer wall (29) back into their initial positions.
Abstract:
A tire comprising at least one carcass-type reinforcing structure and comprising a crown reinforcing structure having at least one working layer. At least one working layer is radially on the inside of at least one carcass layer, in the sidewalls, the tire comprises at least two carcass reinforcing layer portions extending over a radial distance at least equal to 50% of the radial distance between an end of a shoulder and the radially inner end of the radially innermost circumferential reinforcing element, at least in the equatorial plane, the reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement make an angle less than 80°, and the reinforcing elements of the working layer cross with the reinforcing elements of the carcass-type reinforcing structure by an angle greater than 40°, when the tire comprises at least two working layers radially on the inside of at least one carcass layer, the reinforcing elements of the at least two working layers being crossed by an angle of at most 5° and when the tire comprises at least one working layer radially on the outside of the carcass-type reinforcing structure, the reinforcing elements of the at least one working layer crossing with the reinforcing elements of at least one working layer radially on the inside of at least one carcass layer by an angle of at least 30°.
Abstract:
A rolling assembly formed of a tire P, a narrow rim J, the width of which is at most equal to 50% of the maximum axial width of the tire inflated to its operating pressure, and two connecting elements or adapters A which form the join between the mounting rim J and the beads of the tire P. The adapters A are formed of reinforced rubber mixes which are elastically deformable at least in both the radial and axial directions.
